Hiroo Onoda
QIC: Zima
Date: 10/7/25
PAX: Rollback, Spicoli, Van Gogh, Drip, Root Canal, Rubber Ducky, Zima
Hiroo Onoda was a Japanese soldier who lived and fought on Lubang Island for many years after WWII ended. Refusing to believe that Japan had surrendered, he hid in the jungle and conducted raids on local villages for many decades after the war.
The 7 PAX today hid on the Strollway and conducted raids on lampposts, refusing to believe IPC 2025 was over.
TIME WASTERS.
BEATDOWN.
EXERCISES
At the starting point: Mountain Climbers x25
At each lamp post:
– Hand Release Overhead Clap Burpee
– Bobby Hurleys (full palms on the ground)
– Perfect Merkin
– Heels to Heaven
CIRCUIT
– Perform Mountain Climbers at the starting point
– Mosey to the first lamppost and do 1 rep of each exercise
– Sprint back to starting point
– Repeat for round 2 by stopping at posts #1 and #2 (2 reps each exercise)
– Repeat for round 3 by stopping at posts #1, #2, and #3 (3 reps each exercise)
– Continue until time is called
DONE.
NMM:
- All PAX ended somewhere between rounds #5 and #7, I think. Some were too far ahead of me to see. Others were doing something else.
- Rollback and Spicoli made light work of the beatdown and led the charge.
- Van Gogh was hot on their heels, hanging with them for many of the rounds.
- Drip smiled. Root Canal powered. Rubber Ducky told stories. None of that diminished their intense effort.
- None of the exercises were fun. The “sprints” were even less fun. Those f’ing perfect merkins can suck it.
- The form stabilizer exercises were added with the best of intentions. Oh well, better luck next time.
- The run back to the launch point up the tiny hill was a completely unnecessary punch right to the testicles.
- The entire workout was so much harder than anticipated – like a full on snotwoggler. Expect it to make a repeat appearance soon, rebranded as a CSAUP at The Speakeasy. No joke, the dummies requested another shot at it. I’ve got the receipts (mobile phone recording) to prove it.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- Spicoli has the Q at Conspiracy tomorrow. He declined to immediately repeat the workout.
- Tomorrow is MayHAM, not MayHIM, not Mayhem.

Let us be the men that our dogs think we are. Zima Out.
