On Labor Day, our fearless Site Q, Rollback, asked if YHC could Q. No problem! At the time, YHC had a voice… and in the two days since then, my voice decided to take a vacation. So what is a Q to do when it’s hard to talk? Let the PAX help out, we’re all leaders afterall!
So a plan was concocted that required little talking, and much help from the PAX. It went a little something like this…
Warm-o-rama
- Mission Statement / Core Principles!
- By Committee:
- SSH x 20 IC (Rollback)
- Abe Vigoda x 6 IC (Crash)
- Imperial Storm Troopers x 20 IC (Superfly)
- Stretchy Stretchy x 1 min (Pearl)
- Crab Jack Specialty x 10 IC (Drama Queen)
- Mosey to top of the hill
The Thang
- One PAX does 60 reps, while PAX MC and do AMRAP of the following
- Fox Holes
- Merkin / Superman
- WWZ (WW2 to standing) (Run back down and perform at bottom of hill where Curb w/Grass present)
- In between exercises, run to bottom of the hill, then down around parking lot island and back up (approximately .4 miles)
Mary:
- By Committee
- Mutton Crunch L/R
- Freddy Mercury
CoT:
- Rollback and his M, travelling to Minnesota Mayo Clinic to get answers on her shoulder.
- WSFCS denied forgiveness on interest, prayer for our schools. If you are a parent of a student, make sure you are making teachers lives easier, not harder.
- Prayers for my M’s BFF from childhood, Anna, who has
NMM:
- A solid crew for Mayhem! Especially after I preblasted with a picture of a skeleton running.
- Drama Queen made for a fortuitous end of warm-o-rama with his Crab Jack Specialty (as YHC calls them) since it’s a combo move that makes your bones hurt.
- Slowpitch is being courted by Rollback to Q in December, that will definitely be a good VQ that YHC won’t want to miss!
- I believe I had met Pearl before, but it was nice to have him join us. YHC appreciated his stretchy stretch combo with putting an elbow to the ground. It was very sufficient.
- Rubber Ducky said his legs were hurting from IPC Week 0, but man if he wasn’t flying on the run down the hill, way out front!
- Rubber Ducky was our counter for the first exercise, Foxholes, and he promised he actually did the reps while counting. These literally make your bones ache. YHC loves them.
- Slowpitch was our counter for the second exercise, Merkin/Supermans, and YHC can attest he also did all of the reps while counting. Those were not as painful as the Foxholes, but made the lats and traps sore from the range of motion.
- YHC counted our third set, WWZs, and most PAX did not seem to enjoy those. Said they were hard for balance, which I agree, they are hard. Just had to move further down the hill so it wasn’t an uphill situp. They are tough, full range of motion, and doing 60 is a lot.
- Superfly was smiling all morning, and has the upcoming queue at Purgatory. Sure to be a great time!
- Crash didn’t voice a complaint nor issue during the beatdown. He was probably expecting more from YHC, but hey we can’t always be perfect!
Thanks for the opportunity to “lead”, thanks for the grace in trying something different, and thanks to the PAX for stepping up when called upon this morning! Literally couldn’t have done it without you all.
Keys are lost along with my voice, Rollback. Good luck!
