On Thursday, at House Wobegon, the alarm clock (AKA iPhone) won. Snooze, dead to the world, missed the EC and the beatdown. Ah well. It happens. It happens to me, at least.  So, for my Q Friday at UA, we were going to beat the hell out of the A.L.A.R.M. Went like this:

Warm-O-Rama with all the favorites. Mosey up to the small stage.

The Thang: ALARM (Arms, Legs, Abs, Run, Merkins)

Round 1 – 20 Reps

  • A – Arms Swirly Things: 20 Arm Circles (10 forward, 10 backward, full range of motion)

  • L – Legs: 20 Squats

  • A – Abs: 20 Big Boy Sit-ups

  • R – Run: 1 lap (lap was down to the end of the green area, around and back)

  • M – Merkins: 20 Merkins

Round 2 – 30 Reps

  • A – Arms: 30 Shoulder Taps (2-count = 15 each side)

  • L – Legs: 15 Lunges per leg (30 total)

  • A – Abs: 30 LBCs

  • R – Run: 2 laps

  • M – Merkins: 30 Merkins

Round 3 – 40 Reps

  • A – Arms: 40 Carolina Dry Docks

  • L – Legs: 40 Reverse Lunges (20 each leg)

  • A – Abs: 20 American Hammers (2-count = 40 total)

  • R – Run: 3 laps

  • M – Merkins: 40 Standard Merkins (broken into sets if needed)

 Bonus Round – By Committee

  • Pony Pleasers (AKA Michael Phelps) – 20

  • Squats – 20

  • Pickle Pounders – 20

  • Run – 2 laps

  • Merkins – 20

Moleskin / NMM:

Solid work across the board.

  • Toot kept his HC and tore it up. He’s off today to prove to various medical experts that he is in fact suuperhuman.
  • Man, when I rolled up and saw the $5 Foot Long-mobile I was so happy. He started with some extended stretches and slow mosey on his own and crushed the workout.
  • Second time working out with Bootsie, guy is for real. He and $5 shared some aerospace stories. Don’t think he came in on the motorcycle today though.
  • You can always count on Lambchop, for a guy that won’t HC he is always where you think he’s going to be and makes the gloom brighter.
  • Coffee at DeBeen after was pleasant, with several long-distance runners and Ragnarians coming in to sit for a minute with Toot and me. Great wrap-up to the morning. The Mexican Chipas was excellent.

    I’m sorry to have missed as I was out of town at the beach. Looks like a great workout format that I definitely think I’ll steal for a future Q! 🤘🏻🔥💪🏻
