PAX: Rollback, Van Gogh, Blind Date, Show Pony, Draftee
The rules were simple; the pain was inevitable.
The Thang
Each PAX picked up a concrete block and gathered at the far end of the parking lot.
This morning, 30 identical wooden blocks were arranged in a grid, facedown, each with a different exercise written on the underside.
The workout began with PAX flipping over two wooden blocks at a time to reveal the exercises. If the exercises matched, the group completed 20 reps of that movement (with perfect form, of course). However, a mismatch meant the PAX were “rewarded” with a bear crawl, carrying their concrete block one parking space and back. A second consecutive mismatch upped the ante to two parking spaces. Impressively (or not), the group set a record with eight consecutive mismatches.
It took a group effort but we won the game with 30 seconds left on the clock.
Mumble Chatter
- Rollback questioned if side squats were single or double count. If you have to ask, you already know the answer.
- Show Pony demonstrated his incredible strength when pushing his cinder block—it crumbled under the sheer force. While some might call it showing off, we all know he’s built like a horse and was just being himself.
- Rollback voiced his distaste for the Q’s choice of music—a playlist of 70s ballads. Under pressure, YHC relented, and 45 minutes of NF filled the air instead.
- Though not explicitly stated, it’s safe to say Blind Date may not be inviting YHC back anytime soon.
- After COT, Van Gogh summed it up perfectly: the workout was both awful and fun.
