I Dont “Do Redline”
QIC: Burns
Date: 6.17.25
PAX: Pinky, Resistor (WD), Zima, Doublewide, Wooly Bugger, Hit Man, Winklevoss, Tupperware, Chomper, Suede, Plunger (surprise!), Burns (WB, QIC)
I don’t do Redline. Track running, not my thing. Hill repeats, not my thing. I just don’t like to do it. But when the site Q comes calling once a year, I’ll oblige. I knew Madoff had gone a little hill-crazy last week so I planned to keep the pax off of the inclines and on the blacktop.
WOR: Lap around Hanes Park. Clockwise
THE THANG:
- 400m run
- 400m recovery
- 800m run
- 400m recovery
- 1200m run
- 400m recovery
- 1600m run
- 400m recovery
MARY: none, this is Redline
NMM: Weather so muggy. Pax so sweaty. Track so oval.
Wooly Bugger was a good guide around the track. Kept me from getting lost, pushed me hard on the 1600m run. Zima and Pinky were the leaders of the morning, opting to actually stick to the instructions and jog the recovery instead of walk, as most everyone else opted for. Plunger made an appearance in the gloom all the way from Charleston! Some appreciation of the easy instructions and the flatness of the workout from the Redline regulars was taken to heart by the Q. I sure don’t like Redline but I know it’s good for me – thanks for the push from all of you this morning!
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Zima is serving everyone AI beers tomorrow after work, 530PM at BrewDubs. Schlitz is serving everyone real beers this week, Thursday 530PM, location TBD.
