YHC got the call for TRQ today and had some fun with the GenAI preblasting. I figured to come up with a good image I have to come up with a theme first, and since my kids are currently obsessed with “struction” I thought that would be a good route to go. The construction theme and image creation was pretty easy…I just didn’t have a workout to match it yet. I think what I came up with worked alright. Construction!

RUN CLUB: Doublewide & Wob were taking off from the parking lot as I rolled in. I decided to be good to myself and get some stretching in instead of trying to catch up. They came back after their 2 miles with Green Acres in tow.

WOR: SSH x12ic, Hillbillies x12ic, Mountain Climbers x12ic, Merkins x12oyo, Copperhead Squats x12ic, Jack Reachers x12ic, Michael Phelps x12ic.

THE THANG (pt1): Shuffle down to the pool deck. No construction site is complete without a couple of ladders.

  • Ladder 1: 6 dips, 12 step ups, 8 dips, 10 step ups, 10 dips, 8 step ups, 12 dips, 6 step ups
  • Ladder 2: 6 derkins, 12 squatty pottys, 8 derkins, 10 SPs, 10 derkins, 8 SPs, 12 derkins, 6 SPs

THE THANG (pt2): Shuffle up to the rocks and find a “high rep rock.” To adequately build a complex structure, you first have to examine each part to make sure it is measured correctly and will fit with the other parts.

Let me just say, the Lt Dan Presses were a huge hit. I’m talking huge. Expect them at every workout ever from now on. Everyone loved them, especially the site Q. Speaking of the site Q, he was spotted knocking out some pullups post-beatdown on his way home. Beast or cyborg? Wobey is still nursing his foot/ankle back to full health but got after it with a pre-run and some strong work during the beatdown! Superfly was leading the way on the ladders, the dude has perfect derkin form too. Argyle was unflappable this morning – any displeasure with the Q was kept under wraps. Lots of teacher talk/Mt. Tabor talk with Doublewide and D-Day present…D-Day is doing his licensure program this summer & Doublewide is happy to share the fond memories and withhold the not-so-fond ones. Altogether a great squad this morning putting in some solid work, indulging the Qs bad ideas, and getting stronger together.

    Great job as Q! Yes, Lt Dan presses sucked but a great but tough exercise. 🥵. May copy that idea sometime. Thanks for leading!
