Easter Monday, that closest-to-official-but-still-unofficial-for-lots-of-us holiday. YHC really wondered what the turnout would be. Knowing my pace would be slow, I plodded out around 5:22 just ahead of the first wave. I arrived back at an empty lot at 5:58, but the headlights started bouncing in.

Tabata included lots of merkins, squats, sakters, planks, Mike Tysons and ab work. The playlist was Dad Rock, the mumble chatter covered the sometimes humbling experience of being passed during a running race, college baseball, playoff hockey, and easter observations. Couldn’t ask for better.

The route is one of my favorites, with some incline and decline, which some enjoyed and some did not. Look, you are going to see it again next time I Q.
