Rubber Ducky asked me weeks ago to Q at The Iron Throne, so ideas started to percolate. I wanted to do something with the hill and field so thinking of something crazy. I pulled in the first one there expecting some EC runners, but none to be found. I guess they were off on holidays. The Duck himself was the next one and we quickly started talking about seat covers. YHC informed him that a seat belt cover is also a must now that it is getting warmer. Closer to time, more PAX arrived and we had a quorum.

The Thang

I was planning on moseying to the basketball courts and then using the hill and field, but I determined it was too dark and we already had one PAX in a boot. So we just stayed at launch pad.

First thang, one PAX picks an exercise out of the bucket of pain and then runs to the end of the driveway hill, does 5 burpees, and then runs back while the rest of the PAX does selected exercise. Then next PAX picks and so on. If one of the PAX doing the exercise stops doing it before the other arrives back, all do 1 burpee penalty, which increases each time.

  • Low dolly
  • Mountain Climbers
  • Al Gore
  • Freddie Mercury
  • Jack Reacher

Overall, I think this worked well, but should make the run longer since we only had 2 penalties.

After we finished, we moseyed to the blocks. YHC needed some help with the lock, but that’s what friends are for.

Get in groups for 3 man grinder. Man A stays at end of parking lot and does curls, Man B and C John Cusak to cone (or Rifle Carry if your Palin). Man B and C perform 10 partner dips and then Man B does block swings while Man C bear crawl block pushes back. Once everyone does everything once, switch to Skull Crushers and Overhead Press with same mode of transport. Then Squats and Rocky Balboa.

We were almost done but time was fading, so YHC said to put up blocks. Since Rubber Ducky was here, YHC was excited to show him his Thunderstruck knock off. Rage Against the Machine’s cover of EPMD’s song I’m Housin. Do LBCs during the song and do a burpee everytime I’m Housin is said, for a total of 26 burpees. We may have gone over time about a minute, but I think everyone made it home before they turned into a pumpkin.

  • I think YHC mentioned that we were going to do a crazy workout and Palin immediately starts talking about Lithium, which I guess would be bad to take while doing F3 since you sweat.
  • Good to workout with Tammy and talk a little. Excited for his Q at Parliament tomorrow.
  • We had a good mix of ages with Green Acres and Ziggy Stardust at one end and Tonka and Bagpipe at the other.
