Madoff reached out a while ago for YHC to Q. Initially 5/1 was eyed, but Drip beat me to it. The 24th seemed just about as good, so why not spice it up with a 20×25 beatdown!?

For those who don’t know, the challenge from YHC this year has been dubbed  “20×25”, with 20 sets of 25 reps. There will be at least 10 throughout the year. There will be a cool prize for those who attend 3 or more this year. This was the fifth iteration.

NMM:

  • In total we got 500 reps and just two miles. This included 100 burpees, 100 Mike Tyson’s, and 100 Thrusters. Woof.
  • Show Pony showed up at 6:14, and said he would do the beatdown at home. He later confessed that he did not. So he does not get credit.
  • Show Pony started in the winter, and said this was the first workout he’s been to where all the PAX are drenched with sweat – YHC told him to brace himself for the smells.
  • The Duck appreciated the beatdown and said he’d remember it! I believe it, he was getting it done and announced when his QR Code was present!
  • Cruiser continues to see the bar for Thruster form. He said he was mostly recovered from his birthday beatdown.
  • Adobe’s mustache must make him more aerodynamic because he was flying! Must be all the Ragnar training?
  • Blind Date pushed himself this morning. I joined him for his last lap, and he finished with a sprint!
  • Madoff had questions at the start of the beatdown, and YHC got snappy with him explaining the format back. YHC definitely came across as rude and apologized later during the beatdown, and then followed up with a text later. He’s a great site Q, Great PAX, and great man!

That marks the Fifth 20×25 beatdown of the year!! Definitely had an Iton PAX format feel to it… September will be here soon!
