Give Me Shelter at The Outhouse

QIC: Turnover

Date: 1.13.20

PAX: Zima , Cheesesteak , Palin , Manscape (WD) , TPS , Turnover (Q, WB)

6 PAX braved the frigid low 50’s and drizzling rain at The Outhouse this morning.  With the Site Q being out of the country (see: Q’ing at Village Idiocy), YHC gladly stepped up to ensure the assembled #HIM received a sufficient beat down to start the week.  Let’s check it out:

CoT

There is a CSAUP event at UNCC this Saturday.  I believe the event is called “The Gremlin” in honor of one of F3 MeCa’s PAX who passed away in 2018.  You can find out more information about the event here.

Continued prayers for our fellow PAX who are on the DL.

YHC took us out thanking Him for our blessings and the ability to better ourselves together this morning.

NMM

@Palin and @Zima were in attendance this morning, so the MC was flowing early and often.

We dealt with mostly intermittent rain for the majority of the morning, but were met with some heavier showers during the warm up (and during the Apple Turnover, unfortunately)

Palin had no interest in being in the rain at all this morning, and ensured all the PAX were aware of as much.  It sounded like he even strategically posted at The Outhouse due to its many covered area options.

Upon arriving at the Jefferson Middle Shelter, all PAX were thrilled to find the cinder block there to welcome them.  Some PAX were even kind enough to dispose of the cinder block.

Early on in the Cinder Block circuit, Zima noted his displeasure with the lack of music.  YHC was happy to accommodate the request and treated the PAX to the jams of another App State Mountaineer, Luke Combs.  Let the record show that Zima loved all of the songs that were played.

To the surprise of no one, Cheesesteak modified his Bulgarian Split Squats to make them more difficult.  He’s an animal.

Apparently Palin’s Middle School / High School had a limousine parking lot.

As is their custom, Palin and Zima were trading barbs back and forth during the entire work out.  This ended up being especially amusing when we went to do our wall work.  When YHC instructed the PAX to grab some wall, Palin insisted that we all grab some wall under the shelter where it was dry. A perfectly reasonable idea.  Zima took exception to this and decided to rib Palin for his distaste for the rain.

Zima, to Palin: “Oh what, are you worried you’re gonna slip on the concrete or something?”.  *Not a direct quote, but pretty darn close

Not 10 seconds after these words left Zima’s mouth, while in People’s Chair, Zima’s  (shorter than average) legs betrayed him and slipped out from under him, sending him swiftly down onto his 6, where he remained for several seconds, adjusting his jaw from the swift kick in the teeth he had just received from Karma. Hilarity ensued.

While we managed to stay mostly dry for most of the morning, the rain was the heaviest while we were on the tennis courts, but this was made up for by doing MARY under the shelter.

Always great seeing TPS and Manscape, or “The Silent Assassin” as YHC likes to call him.

Always an honor to lead.  Thanks for the keys, Greenspan.  I gave them to the 2 kids that were hanging out at the Leinbach shelter at 0530.  Not sure you’ll get them back.

This is why we have Back blasts, to etch karmic events such as thid into the digital history books where it shall remain forever! Sorry to have missed that, not sorry to have missed the beatdown! Thanks for sharing, Turnover!
