A little rain………
QIC: Boomerang
Date: 2/21/2026
PAX: Lamb Chop, Pony Express, Green Acres (WD), Parquet (WB), Burlap, Comrade, Linus, Starfish, D-Day, Wobegon, Bluto, Lemming, Singing Cowboy, Counterfeit (DR-Wake County) and FNG Clockwork (aka Malcom MacDougall) and Boomerang (QIC)
While Saturday at Purgatory was forecasted to be the warmest morning for the next 7-10 days (48 degrees) it was not completely dry or without drizzle. Knowing this, YHC being a benevolent Q, was ready to shelter, as needed, the PAX with a modified workout. With this gift we were almost ready to start. After noting the presence of an FNG, all the appropriate statements, warning, etc. were made, even if out of order, and then we began.
Normal fair for the warmarama-Imperial ST, SSH, Abe Vigoda, Whirlies, Arm Swirlies (B and F), Seal Claps, OH Claps and Michael Phelps aka Pony Pleasers!
Off to the school entrance and partner up for DORA-100 Merkins, 200 LBC’s and 300 Monkey Humpers. Running distance was to the end of the bus lot covered walkway and back-minimal exposure to the dizzle. By the end of DORA the dizzle had stopped and the PAX went back to the regularly scheduled beatdown.
To the rock pile for a rock selection and instructions were given, via cardboard. 3 stations, 3 exercises, 15 reps of each listed exercise and move to the next station.
Station #1-
Curls, OH Press and Bent Over Rows
Station #2-
Lunges with or without your rock, Jump Squats and Burpees
Station #3-
Merkins, Skull Crushers and Bench Press
Twice during the station workout YHC took the PAX to the wall for some wall sit-down the line 5 Mike Tysons, shake it out and the back to wall sit-down the line 5 Jack Reachers. Second time around only Mike Tysons down the line. After allowing for the station break via wall sits PAX returned to the stations and kept after it.
With a few minutes to spare return the rocks and back to the start for Mary-APD, Mutton Crunch and Green Acres lead the PAX in 3 Huck Merkins (crowd pleaser)!
Done!!
Announcements:
Greenest happened on Saturday as did the fund raiser for Our Lady of Salem at Camel City Coffee. The Pony Express as the newly minted Site Q of Purgatory failed to bring his whiteboard for Q signups and thus may have to resort to Slack to get needed Q’s. Be on the lookout for a request in the near future to Q this PAX favorite AO over the next few months-show Pony some love!
Prayer Request:
Former co-worker of Lamb Chop in treatment for stage 4 cancer. Father of friend of Pony passed away and one request YHC appears to have blanked on. YHC took us out.
FNG:
Lamb Chop, who appeared surprised that he made it out, introduced FNG-Malcom MacDougall former co-worker at Hanesbrands and a current co-worker at Sutton Brothers. Known as a babysitter of employees and a foreseer of potential pink-slips he was given the name of Clockwork.
Only real mumble chatter and mumble actions (YHC saw or heard) were regarding the “slightly” damp pavement and something about folding cardboard to hide Burpees! All in all a great start to Saturday!
Strong work men and thanks for the keys Pony. I did try to find the white board to put the keys by but it was not to be found, therefore check at the rock pile!
