take us out to the ballgame

QIC: crash

PAX: dr. toot, boo boo, lamb chop, drip, bootsie, crash

A fine cold morning saw 6 pax posting to one of the most uninspired and uninspiring preblasts yhc has ever created.

had devised a plan to get down to ballpark, get around it and back.

mission and core principles were recited.

we warmed up even though flatline doesn’t usually do that, b/c yhc needs to warm up getting older.

ssh, hillbillies, ist, forward and backward ast, abe vigodas usually 11 of each

we moseyed to ballpark mostly down 2nd street. there was a bit of grumbling it was like 2 miles to the ballpark but actually its only 0.8.

we did at each full intersection (traffic 4 ways): a

grand slam (that is 4 burpees)

so that was roughly maybe 10 times, 5 on the way there and 5 on the way back

at the ballpark, making our way around we stopped several times and did

change up merkins (pulse merkins, 3 count down, 1 up, maybe 20 of these

knuckleball flutters (no rhythm, no counting), maybe 1 minute

yhc saw the bridge and we moseyed out to that and facing traffic did maybe 20-30 monkey humpers

there were some questions about whether we were protesting, etc, alas not

dr. toot correctly guessed that was a bonus exercise not part of the original plan

continuing our way around the ballpark we did near the batting cages:

nolan ryans, 20 each side

double play burpees, a burpee with 2 merkins, dr. toot thought we should do 11 so we did

up near the home stretch coming back toward first street to return we did

shortstop shuffle – that’s apollo ohnos, maybe 20 each side?

then to the green monster. run down to parking lot. go to the largest hill.

green monster – carlton fisk’s (yes yhc created most of these names)

5 merkins at the bottom. run to the top, 5 star jumps (carlton fisk waving the ball inside the foul pole in 1975 and celebrating when he saw it was a homer).

run down or crawl bear down.

5 trips. decrease star jumps by 1 each time. 5 merkins each time. we finished at top of hill.

return to start via first street, grand slams at each major intersection

folks seemed to like the format, lots of mumblechatter about derrieres, suppositories, most all of it appropriate enough but most of it not repeatable

really enjoyed this group of guys coming out today

lamb chop and drip kept us entertained

boo boo hung with yhc when yhc was behind, which was most of the time, and had to get to work soon after

dr toot and bootsie were up there pushing the pace, the WB and the WD!
