Operation Christmas Child Load-Up at Alcatraz – Year 3!
QIC: crash
Date: 11/22/2025
PAX: TBD - You
Where: River Oaks Community Church Clemmons – Church parking lot (they’re expecting us, gents!)
When: Tomorrow, Saturday, Nov 22 @ 0700 sharp
The Workout: Standard F3 beatdown – warm-o-rama, the thang (the beatdown is loading the boxes. There’s typically 3 groups, PAX rotate between, moving boxes in stacks down the hallway, lifting onto truck and moving back on the truck, and stacking. If there are too many we’ll drag some cinder blocks over to lift or do burpees, Mary, COT. We’ll keep it moving to be sure we’re done before 0800.
The Mission: Brothers, it’s our 3rd year upholding this newer F3 tradition – loading up 350 (number confirmed today) Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes into the Samaritan’s Purse truck. These aren’t just boxes; they’re packed with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and a hope for kids facing war, poverty, disasters, and famine in 170+ countries. Some quick trivia: Since kicking off in 1993 (inspired by a call to help kids in war-torn Bosnia), OCC has delivered over 232 million shoeboxes worldwide, helping 50 million children along the way. Your showing up tomorrow tangibly demonstrates the third F to children who may never have received a gift before.
SYITG – it won’t be gloomy, 58 and beautiful out – let’s load the truck for all 3 F’s, Aye?
