A Strollway Tour
QIC: Doublewide
Date: 10.03.2025
PAX: Crashes, Woodpecker, Tax Break, Resistor, Juicebox, Chomper, Glazer, Burlap, Winklevoss, Lemming, Balco, Interference
Could not have asked for better weather this morning. Sky was clear, stars were out, and temps were in the lower 50s. Literally my favorite running weather.
There was mumble chatter leading up to the run about how terrible the routes were (cough cough @Greenspan and @Resistor) but after an easy warm up down Canal Drive, the push up Broad wasn’t even that terrible.

Tractors: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/6631527219/
Once we got to the top, we had very little hills after that, and enjoyed time on both the Long Branch Trail and part of the Strollway. We came back down 1st St. and just like that, 6.2 miles were complete!

Naked Man Moleskin
- Crash has been coming out consistently the last few weeks – he’s turning into quite a runner
- Speaking of consistency, Woodpecker, Juicebox, and Lemming were (again) a part of the 0515 OG crowd (but we missed Wham-O)
- Tax Break easily caught up to me near the end and then graciously slowed down so we could finish together, that way I could feel good about myself afterwards. Thanks for the confidence boost!
- Had a great run side-by-side with Resistor this morning, chatting about our kids playing soccer, school, and our various trips. Good thing he didn’t notice I would ask questions as we were approaching a hill, so he had to answer while I could sit back and breathe laboredly.
- I didn’t see Chomper nor Winklevoss out on the OG route, though both usually pass me
- Glazer knew more about my route than I did, and had a trivia question ready to go afterwards (something about tobacco? Clearly I did not get it right)
- It has been fun getting to meet Burlap’s 2.0 as he is a WS Fellow this year and has been hanging out with my wife, who works for the program
- Balco & Interference were seen mid-route when they both passed us, but had to finish early and head out. You guys were looking strong!
Thanks for the keys, Chomper! Happy to have everyone explore the LBT anytime.
