PAX: sergeant schultz, cruiser, sassy, crash

Impromptu Co Q, occurred on this morning at the VI.

YHC arrived to a curiously empty parking lot given there was supposed to be a prerun at 5, etc.

The Singing Cowboy wrote about 30-40 min prior to the workout to say the power was out and the gate was shut to the neighborhood so photos of meticulously prepared cardboard were shared on slack, which one or 2 of the assembled PAX reviewed and decided they would not be able to remember. YHC didn’t realize this until checking slack b/c of the confusion, to be certain in the right place and who was the Q.

Site Q Cruiser rolled in and we updated him no Q so he took us through some warmup exercises. We discussed starting a dora or heading over to do some block lifting. Decided on the block lifting. Head to the other side of the lot.

We got blocks then discussed what to do with them. 21’s was the suggestion from Schultz. Sassy / Schultz and Cruiser / Crash in pairs, 1 pax does 1 then passes rock, other 1, 2-2, 3-3, and so on up to 21. Curls first. YHC felt it would be too much by about 11 in the count.. suggested we go to 14 vs 21. 105 reps vs 231. Skull Crushers up to (x) 14, Overhead press x 14, and upright rows x 14. Hey that’s 420 reps. interesting. We counted up, or counted down by choice. YHC / cruiser counted down starting at 14 for the skull crushers and overhead presses. It’s safer that way. A day later, the 14 feels like it was the right call. Biceps hurt. A bit out of shape perhaps.

In between a couple of these rounds cruiser and yhc did a lap around the lot.

There was much discussion of the high life, butlers, gates, TSC college days with Schultz, etc.

That simple approach took a surprisingly long amount of time. Headed back to the start for Mary.

Some spelling with the legs, we did the word butler, low flutters, heels to heaven, tempo merkins, maybe 1 or 2 others, mostly by committee.

As TSC sent a pic of the gate to explain why he could not make it, the pax were inspired to take a picture behind a fence that looked like we were behind a gate. It was funny and intended as a sign of respect and solidarity. The pic looked like something from supermax or alcatraz.

Prayers for aging parents and one or two family, for health. Sassy took us out if YHC recalls.

For a brief moment Schultz I believe wanted to head into the Y but glad he decided to stick around. YHC found out later in the evening 2 things: Boo Boo had shown up but about 8 min into the workout, and did a bit of venturing around the lot but couldn’t find us, so, headed into the Y where he encountered Huckleberry who was seeking warmer climes. So, 2 pax posted inside the Y but we can’t count that as F3 b/c it wasn’t outdoors and presumably there was no COT. Also, not free. Also, not peer led.

A reminder it can be enjoyable to just show up and figure it out, and more compromise ensues and a good chance to connect and get the 2nd F going.

I’m sure we’ll see TSC’s cardboard workout at a later time.
