9 gathered in the spring gloom to see what ol’ Burnsy had in store. Cruiser rolled up with his 2.0 who was bleary-eyed yet excited to see what his dad does every morning. Site Q was present, along with many regulars. Great to be back on the western side of the city. Let’s do this.

WoR – SSH x15, Whirlies x15, Merkins x10, some stretchy stretches, Hillbillies x15, Michael Phelps x15.

The thang, pt. 1 – grab a rock and mosey to the other parking lot for 22’s (you were missed, VG). Start with 20 squat thrusters then run across the parking lot and do 2 gas pumps and return. Add/subtract 2 each round until 2 thrusters/20 gps. Total of 110 a pop. Throw the rocks back into the drainage ditch and mosey to the shelter

Pt. 2 – 30s on / 15s off of the following 8 exercises: R leg step up, Irkins, L leg step up, Dips, Squatty pottys (ies?), Derkins, American hammer, Burpees. Three times through the circuit before returning to launch for some quick Mary & fin.

Cruiser brought his 2.0 and immediately my thought was to name him ‘PT’ but we had to let the workout play out before anything could be officially decided. Turns out the dude’s got an 11 yr old motor and when he was up against our aging and rusty internal gears he was real impressive. Turnover did his best to keep up, but even he was thwarted by the impressive youngster…which prompted him to quote Superbad. It then made sense when in COT he divulged that his favorite subject in school is recess, which promptly became his name. Thanks for bringing him out, Cruiser!

CoT – prayers for pax undergoing treatments for cancer and for the Dixon family. Service for Will is on Sunday, April 16 at 3 PM at First Pres downtown.
