YHC actually woke up for the Q this morning with no alarm before 0445. There was no way YHC was sleeping through two Qs in one week. 5 PAX gathered together at Whitaker Square Shopping Center to perform the workout #ForHudson, as detailed below. Overall, we completed between 4-6 rounds of exercises and everyone agreed it rivaled the IPC workouts done not too long ago. But the physical pain felt doing the workout is nothing compared to the Pain Nomad and his wife continue to feel. Please keep them in your prayers. It was an honor to celebrate Hudson this morning and his memory is now known in our F3 Winston-Salem community.

Prayer Requests
Burns’ sister gave birth last night/this morning in the overnight hours and both mom and baby seem to be doing well. Prayers that that continues!

H.O.G.’s pastor’s dad has pneumonia and lung cancer. The family is unable to help him as they are battling COVID-19.

YHC has a friend battling leukemia. He is scheduled to start a clinical trial very soon and we pray that that helps fight this off and send it into remission.

The husband of someone YHC went to high school with suffered a severe cardiac event at the gym Monday night in Greenville. He was “cooled” for a period and then warmed back up gradually. The update today is that he was taken off sedation and began throwing up with the intubation tube in so they “Hail Mary’d” it out and with help, recovered from that. My friend has commented that tonight, he is literally a walking miracle. Movements are taking a while to do and he is having trouble speaking, but to where he has gotten so far is incredible. This guy is like many of you: 35, healthy, no previous heart issues that I’m aware of and went out doing squats the other night. The quickness of two 17 year olds performing CPR and calling an ambulance have literally saved his life. Truly a praise to this point with continued prayers for further recovery. They have three young kids as well.
to be thankful for today on this 36th birthday, but also lots to pray about as well. Looking forward to Qing something on Friday of next year for my birthday. It will be a blast and I hope you’ll join me!

YHC is taking the reins on VQing the Workout in a Box, better known as WIB tomorrow. It will be the first workout for YHC after completing 35 times around the sun! Taking advantage of choosing location, YHC will host this at Whitaker Square Shopping Center, which is where many Chick-fil-a coffeterias happen post-Purgatory if YHC isn’t mistaken. Bring a weight/kettlebell/block for the upright rows and meet in front of La Carreta where we will perform the following workout:

The Hudson Fryar Tribute Beatdown – Nomad from F3 NW Arkansas lost his five month old son, Hudson, on 10/3/2020. F3 NW Arkansas put out this tribute beatdown to honor and remember Hudson and others that are taken from us too soon while also supporting Nomad and his family.

So here goes, here is the workout that is asked of us:

H: 8 Hand Release Burpees
U: 21 Upright Rows
D: 4 Dan Taylor’s (1/4 Squat/Lunges up to 4/16)
S: 19 Spiderman Merkins (while down, right knee to right elbow and alternate sides until 19 total)
O: 15 Outlaws (Big O)
N: 14 No Surrenders (Sounds like or similar to a Prisoner Get-up)
Run 418 meters (approximately 0.25-0.26 miles) after each set. Perform 5 sets of these exercises if time allows.

The number of reps for each exercise equals the number of the letter in the alphabet.
The number of sets equals Hudson’s age of five months old.
The length of the run after each set equals Hudson’s date of birth, 4/18.
