The anticipated rain did not appear, which was appreciated, but I had planned for inclimate weather and I have difficulty deviating from The Weinke, sooooo…..
Warm-o-rama
Side straddle hops, ISTs, 5 burpees, 5 burpees, Abe Vigodas, 20 merkins, 20 Peter Parkers, Whirleys.
Mosey to the shelter in front of Jefferson and grab bench for ladders of 10 double count step ups and 5 seated squats, then 9 double count step ups and 6 seated squats, etc. until you do 5 step ups and 10 seated squats.
Mosey 20 feet to the parking lot to lunge walk to the line of each parking spot line and do three squats, lunge to the next line and three squats, etc. until the end of the parking lot.
At the bottom of the parking lot, we returned to the shelter, the mode of transportation was bear crawl to each parking spot line and one merkin, bear crawl to the next line and one merkin, etc. I believe there are 23 lines.
Once back to the shelter, we grabbed bench for a new adde of 15 dips and 5 merkins, then 14 dips and 6 merkins, etc., until you do 5dips and 15 merkins. Much MC at this point, but quite muted by the suckiness.
Spontaneous jail break back to the starting point where we broke out the Gross, 12 reps of 12 exercises with no breaks OYO. Merkins, squats, low flutters, diamond merkins, rocking chair lunges, WW II sit-ups, crucible merkins, squat jumps, Nolan Ryans, wide merkins, monkey humpers, and low dollys.
6:15. 206 merkins, 110 dips, etc. No running but lots of reps. Great group of brothers who encouraged me throughout. Von Trapp has quickly become part of the family with his initial forays into the world of mumble chatter, Turnover is the elite, Ink Spot blew it out on the jailbreak, Spamalot and Thistle kept up the chit chat, Five Dollar and TPS were the metronomes with the steady beat of success.
COT. I took us out with a word about light and dark…God often does some of His best work in the dark, so take courage when you are in the dark and see no light.. God is up to something great.
