High Q brings haiku

QIC: Whirly

Date: 09/28/17

PAX: Sour Mash, Schneider, Conway, Whirly

Four pax gathered for the annual “Since I have no creativity, I’ll borrow something from Toto” fest at The Distillery this morning.  Plan was simple- just latch onto something that has emanated from Toto in the past 24 hours and greatness will ensue.

FINISHED

NMM

Exercises were selected based on number of syllables, and grouped:

5 syllable (or letter) exercise

7 syllable (or letter) exercise

5 syllable (or letter) exercise

Some modifications were necessary (i.e. American Hammer has six syllables, Merkin Hammer has four syllables, but ‘Merican Hammer has five syllables, so it works); BLIMPS became BLIMPSS

We only got halfway through the planned beatdown- part DUH coming soon to an AO near you.

Conway’s first post was Monday at VI, and he has posted every day this week- strong.

All of the pax are glad the haiku party will soon end, some more glad than others.

Palin wasn’t there.

Tuco wasn’t there.

Sgt. Schultz wasn’t there.

Toto wasn’t there.

Goofy wasn’t there.

Announcements

Because there were only four pax, YHC didn’t feel like a recording was necessary, which is why there are no announcements.  Well, there probably were, but YHC can’t remember them…Sour Mash…uh…

COT

YHC took us out with what seems to be highly repetitive, but nonetheless sincere, gratitude for the ability to do what we do, and for the group, and for each individual that makes F3 what it is.  YHC also shared about being in counseling for spiritual/emotional/mental health and encouraged those who were there (and those who read this) to be willing to reach out to others if you need help with something, no matter how big or how small it may seem to you.  We all have something to gain from others, and something to give to others.

Thanks Sour Mash for the opportunity, and the bourbon.  Now I’m going to go get sloshed before I go to my 8:00 counseling appointment.

You can always depend on Whirly for (1) a good workout and (2) the truth.
