Site Q Takeover

When YHC saw the Slack-generated preblast post go out on Tuesday, the only thought I had was “Ruh-Roh”. Looks like I forgot to get a Q lined up for this week’s iteration of the premiere F3WS Wednesday workout. A last minute offer went out to the PAX with no response, so YHC was happy to step up and lead.

The inspiration behind the beatdown was purely selfish: YHC has a Spartan race coming up in a couple months and those races always put a premium on upper body strength and grip strength. Let’s just say that YHC’s aptitude in those departments is….below average. So what better way to work on those things than a good old fashioned Murph to work on pull ups/grip strength!?

Splash and Boomerang rolled in, we had a quick discussion of the US Open (tennis, not golf), and then we were off.

The THANG

Curveball: No Warm O Rama

Mosey up to the old Mayhem launch spot to the playground.

PAX were instructed that a Murph was on tap. Break it down however you want. Take a lap between rounds, or don’t. Choose your own adventure.

Splash and Boomerang both dominated their reps and were kind enough not to leave YHC at the playground while they waited for me to finish.

Once all 3 of us completed our reps, we moseyed back to launch.

Circle up for a little popcorn MARY

With a couple minutes left, we did a little warm 0 rama to properly stretch and recover.

Done.

Was great getting some work in with these 2 respects today. They pushed me all morning, and I’m thankful for it.

Boomerang noted on our mosey over to the playground that he despised running. His bad attitude was rewarded by failing to catch the pullup bar on his VERY FIRST attempt and falling onto his back. You know what they say about karma…

Splash and his “merkins” set the pace the entire morning. What a beast.

We were joined during CoT by Van Gogh who had spent the morning at the Speakeasy getting some miles in and supporting Palin, Greenspan, and Zima while they completed IPC Week 1. He was very disappointed to learn that he had missed a Murph.

It’s always an honor to lead and I’m thankful for the 2nd F that was had. Thanks for posting, gentlemen.
