YHC enjoyed an EC 2.26mi run with the WIB boys before arriving at TRQ this AM. TRQ has a special place in my heart as it was where my first F3 post, was my first Q, and is a great workout format and challenge to keep the HR up without running.

YHC arrived to be greeted by many friendly and smiling faces. Unfortunately, the 3 FNG’s that $5 was reeling in did not make it in the boat ☹ Keep at ‘em.

F3 Mission and core principles were recited without flaw. F3 Credo was provided upon request with minimal prompting.

 

Standard warm-o-rama with varying counts, but sure to include a full set of cherry pies.

Mosey (not run) to the stairs by the lido deck as “Stairway to Heaven” was requested. Unfortunately, my Bluetooth speaker was unavailable this am, so we resorted to using the stairs for some partner work

  • Partner A stays at the bottom and does burptuckees (burpees with a knee tuck at the top, thanks to Whammo for this one)
  • Partner B bear crawls to the top of the stairs and back down (modify as necessary, the Toot was not on hand this am)
  • Continue until a total of 50 burptuckees has been completed per group

Lunge walk across the parking lot and mosey (not run) up the hill and to the rock pile. Instructions were given to select a rock appropriate for sharing (but not to run with); instruction interpretation varied. Concerns were raised about sharing rock, but we were all wearing gloves, so I think it is ok. Circle up, complete called exercise until the Q says stop (read: gets tired). Then rotate one rock to the right and start next exercise.

  • Curls
  • Tricep extensions
  • Bus driver
  • Upright row
  • Front raise
  • Low squats
  • Bent over row
  • WW2 with rock
  • Overhead press (per mongoose request)

PAX given option to repeat the cycle or move on, they chose to move on. All rocks returned except $5’s, as his was the most complained about. Mosey to the wall.

  • Assume people’s chair and pass $5’s rock down and back, repeat, repeat
  • BTTW and do 3 australian merkins down the line
  • Back to people’s chair and pass $5’s rock down and back, repeat, repeat
  • Q requested volunteers to return $5’s rock, boomer obliged, everyone else assumed BTTW until he returned.

Mosey back to the start for heels and heaven and low dolly.

 

Lots of MC this morning as was the intent with lack of counting and keeping the group mostly together. Of note, it is rumored that Total Recall can pick up a grape while doing a squat without using his hands. Next challenge is a picking up a nickel.
