Grinding to Perfection

A perfect dozen converged on the GBF clubhouse and this is how it went down.

The Thang.  We separated into groups of 3 for 3-man-grinders.  After some brief instructions we got to work.  1 pax started at the kettlebell station and another on the tennis courts for body weight work with a runner in between.

Prayer requests – continue to pray for $5 as he battles his health issues.  Pray for his doctors and his family.
YHC took us out praying for $5, thanking the Lord for a safe place to workout and pray for those that don’t have a safe place.  Also prayed for safety and wisdom of all those travels

1. Turkey Day workouts – Distillery at 0530 or Speas at 0700

NMM
1. YHC had near perfect cadence until IST.  No excuses, just a plain disaster.  The Pax was less than kind so they were punished with 8 Burpees.
2. YHC didn’t want anyone to feel like they did not get a sufficient workout this am. With grinders the PAX can perform AMRAP so they only have themselves to blame.  Except they can blame me for the cadence issue and for making the run too long.  But if they complain then they will just get to do more burpees.
3. YHC did not realize how long it would take to run around the clubhouse and back so the first few grinders were a little long.  I take no responsibility.  The pax merely ran too slow.  Therefore I shortened the run out of sympathy.  I guess that thought 65 KB swings was too many.
4. For the last third YHC shortened the run even more and we were able to finish all 20 exercises with 15 seconds to spare.
5. The music de jour was Led Zepplin.  I think we made it through 8-9 songs but they all sound the same so it might have just been one song on repeat.
