Leave it! Leave it!

QIC: Closer

Date: 2/3/2020

PAX: Mutton, Juice Box, Winklevoss, Bueller? and Closer

As the new site Q for Run & Gun YHC thought it only appropriate to Q the next available Monday.  2/3 looked like a great opportunity.  YHC forgot about the Superbowl and the possible impact it might make on attendance.  Despite the late night football 5 pax arrived at Speas in the gloom for a recycled route.

RUN – We ran towards Ransom Rd, looped around the lake and returned.  Or at least most of us did.

GUN – We did 3 sets of Tabata with 20 secs on and 10 secs off splitting 2 exercises across 8 rounds.
1. Squats & Jack Reachers
2. Merkins & LBC
3. Alternating lunge & Heals to Heaven

TUNES – Let Go. – Judah & the Lion
Let’s Get Loud – Jennifer Lopez
Try Everything – Shakira
bad guy – Billie Eilish

COT
YHC offered thanks for the PAX and the way we strengthen each other.  Prayers for Buellers FIL who is having a knee replacement and Juice Box’s M’s recovery from surgery.  Pray that we remember God’s love, truth, grace and justice.

NMM

This was a recycled route from 1/28/2018 when Burlap and YHC took to the road.  Would have been good if I had remembered the dead end that caused some offroading in the middle of the route.

Mutton continued with his RNG tradition of leaving early despite the fact that he can run as fast as the rest of us.  Unfortunately a few turns created confusion and brought his to McDonalds.  Glad you made it safely.

Winklevoss launched requesting a social pace.  Good to run to run in a good group of 4.

REMINDER – Reflecting vest and lights are necessary for morning runs.  No one was harmed but patch jumped in the ditch when a big truck took a wide and got a little close for comfort even though we were well lit.

Lots of wild life, especially dogs.  Running past one barking dog we heard their owner yelling “Leave it!, Leave it!”  At first we thought that meant we were in the clear.  We later were concerned that the dog may have been chewing on Mutton.

TCLAPs to Bueller? for RIRO!

Music was inspired by the SuperBowl Halftime show, but Wink did warn not to bring that music to Bells & Whistles.  I take that as a challenge and look forward to the ridicule.
