No Honeymoon at Urban Assault

QIC: Post Hole

Date: 9/20/2019

PAX: Cheesesteak, Red Baron, Dr. Toot Canal, Traeger, Run Down (WD), $5 Dollar Foot Long (WB), Bird Hole, TSA, PostHole

Last week $5 Dollar Foot Long let us know that he was getting married this weekend. YHC had high hopes for a bachelor party Q that would be talked about for ages. While we did some questionable things the Q turned out more like a wedding day Q for the bride. Something old, something new……..you get it. The event went like this.

Warmup

  • SSH (Something Old) x 21 IC
  • Hairy Rockettes (Something New) x 20 IC
  • Arm Swirly Things Forward and Backward x 10 IC each way
  • Mosey lap around the park

The Thang

Five Dollar getting married and the Pirate in me could not resist.

  • WALK THE PLANK (Something Borrowed)

The PAX lined up head-to-toe in a high plank. The last PAX in line stands and lunge walks to the front of the line and resumes a high plank. This continued until one full lap around Bailey Park was completed. Pretty quickly the PAX started calling exercises to complete while we held plank. We completed untold numbers of merkins in different variations, plank jacks, various leg/arm lifts, peter parkers, parker peters, low planks, 3/4 planks, reverse planks, etc. There was no shortage of MC, that is, until we made the turn for the uphill leg. The only groan came when Five Dollar called for five burpees and if that was not enough he did it again a hundred feet later.

  • Mosey to the top of the parking deck for rooftop BOMBS (Neither the sky or moon were very blue, Q fail)

Burpees x 5

Overhead Claps x 5

Merkins x 5

Big Boy Situps x 5

Squats x 5

Q instructed the PAX to complete a round and run down  to the next level. Continue to the bottom or until we run out of time. YHC made it down three levels and a few made it down four. Out of Time. Quick mosey back to the park and made it at 6:17 with no time for Mary (Q fail).

NMM

A beautiful morning in downtown and a strong group of PAX for this workout. I think it is my second time working out with Red Baron and he is no slouch. Never skipped a beat. Cheesesteak glided through making it look easy. Run down is not long off the IR and is looking strong. Bird Hole is visiting from St. Petersburg but is becoming a UA regular. Great to have him with us and shows some real grit. Dr. Toot, Traeger, TSA and $5 Foot Long are awesome. They will grind up anything you put in front of them.

COT

Short on time, announcements and prayers all aimed at $5 Foot Long`s upcoming nuptials.

YHC asked and Dr. Toot took us out.

Always an honor to lead. Thanks for the keys Cheesesteak. They are on the roof of the parking deck.
