Some Razzle Dazzle at B&W

Q: Sassy
Date: 01/02/2019
PAX: Toe Tag, Manscape, The Singing Cowboy, Sgt. Schultz, Boomerang, Poncho, Bluto, Cousin Roy, Zuckerberg, Interference, Data, Cobra, Goofy, Razzle Dazzle (Former FNG Jason Ford), Lemming, Sassy

YHC took on the task of heading to Bells & Whistles this morning. Somehow, YHC swore there was a “Virginia is for Lovers” sign on the way, but maybe not… YHC was hopeful for a big crowd this morning and 16 in total made their way so off we went!

Warm-O-Rama
FNG is present! Provided disclaimers and asked PAX to ensure YHC read them all. They said “yes”, however, YHC forgot the ol’ here’s where the hospital is when you get hurt. There was plenty of medical personnel present so we’ll let it slide for now…

The Thang
YHC recycled a workout led in August that seemed to be a crowd pleaser. Get into a trio for a 3 man grinder: the first man performs the kettlebell exercise, the second man moseys to the other side of the parking lot to the “coach’s tower” looking thing and performs a non-kettlebell exercise, and the third man is moseying between the two stations. Rotate when a partner reaches you. The exercises were as follows:

KB Exercises
Squat
Overhead Press
KB Swings
Front Raise
Alternating Lunge
WWII’s + Overhead Press
American Hammer
Figure 8’s
Flutter Kick + Chest Press
Bent Over Rows
Curls
Upright Rows

Other Exercise
Merkins
Nolan Ryans
Imperial Walkers
Mountain Climbers
Chilcutt (Elbow) Plank
Diamond Merkins
Plank Jacks
Heels to Heaven
Box Cutters
Alternating Seal and Overhead Clap
Peter Parkers
Low Dolly

Mary
We had time for 30 seconds of Mary so we did LBCs x12 IC

Fin!

Prayer Requests/Announcements
No spoken prayer requests.

Convergence is the name of the game! Join us Saturday at 0700 at Hanes Park for the F3 Winston-Salem 5 year anniversary workout. YHC is an HC after receiving clearance from the M to attend a Saturday workout (barring a mini ski trip, but that is looking unlikely with the weather leading up to this weekend).

Cobra passed off the reins to The Singing Cowboy to become the new Site Q for Bells & Whistles. Congratulations to TSC for that honor and a hearty thank you to Cobra for running a great AO.

NMM
Razzle Dazzle joined us this morning as former FNG Jason Ford. He is retired Navy and will soon be related to Goofy through their children getting married this weekend. Goofy was very thorough in his reasoning for the name, having come from the movie, Stripes, where Bill Murray leads his group in an entertaining exercise where he screams “Razzle Dazzle!” out in the middle. YHC sees that Stripes is on Netflix and it will be instant movie night over the weekend. YHC got to run with Razzle Dazzle a couple of times between stations and he seemed to be enjoying himself. He also unknowingly stated he was 11 years younger than he was, but YHC nor anyone else batted an eye at it. Razzle Dazzle was strong, excited, and YHC hopes to see him in the gloom at future workouts.

Data joined us having moved to Winston-Salem recently from Columbia. YHC was part of his team this morning and he also seemed to embrace the suck and get after it. T-claps on a strong effort and look for Data at your future workouts, he’s ready to bring it!

Interference was our other partner, he barely breathed harder than normal and never broke a sweat, YHC tried to make it difficult anyways…

Zuckerberg came back to the gloom and pretty much dominated things.

Cobra has gone Keto, don’t let Hot ‘n Now bring him a dozen KK donuts in this time…

YHC gathered there were Kotters needed to Manscape at B&W this morning. Seems it has been a while since he has posted there and he didn’t seem to miss a beat. While we’re on the topic of Respect-Respects, Cousin Roy made the drive northward as well and definitely had to make the Nantan proud. Well done, gentlemen!

Sgt. Schultz and Singing Cowboy had a running commentary going about many things. TSC (and Bluto, to an extent) was especially interested in The Sound of Silence remake by Disturbed. YHC picked “Top Rock” from Amazon Music as there was a Q-fail in forgetting to bring prepared tunes. No ads though, but no Phil Collins either unfortunately.

YHC didn’t get to interact much with Poncho or Lemming (we ended up on opposite stations most of the time); however it is always nice to see those guys out in the gloom bringing it strong!

Boomerang was Boomerang. Just the usual from him: tough, strong, HIM!

Toe Tag couldn’t understand why YHC didn’t have a marathon scheduled for 2019. YHC is still holding to “one and done” for the foreseeable future.

Always a pleasure to lead this group of men, Sassy out!
