13 pax converged at Hanes Park after some moseyed in from Brunson and some moseyed in from Wiley.  We did the following:

Under the tennis shelter:

20 box jumps OYO

20 darkens OYO

20 left leg step ups IC

20 dips OYO

20 right leg step ups IC

20 irkins OYO

On the track:

Run 100 meters

20 OHC OYO

Run 100 meters

20 running with scissors OYO

Run 100 meters

20 low flutters OYO

Run 100 meters

20 SSH OYO

Repeato, but reduce the reps by 5 each round until we get to 5 reps of everything.  After the first lap around the track, the fasties were instructed to handicap their start in an effort to allow all pax to finish the lap at roughly the same time.

We moseyed back to Brunson.

Using the columns/polls that support the shelter covering the walkway, we did some poll assisted pull-ups (made up)- 10 each side IC.

We did Karate Kids (made up)- 10 each side IC

Announcements:

Lamb Chop has his VQ at Conspiracy at Wiley Wednesday morning.

“Ruck in tights”- a Starfish production- is coming to Sherwood Forest via Shaffner Park tomorrow morning.

NMM:

At least one pax observed that meeting at Wiley for IS would be better than meeting at Brunson- something about a smooth surface.

Walter White was at the track when we got there.  Inspired, Palin ran with Walter White- he was able to hang with WW for a good 30 meters.

The handicapping idea for the laps on the track did not work well at all, despite having 3 tries.  YHC will be skeptical of everyone’s claimed handicap if we play golf.

The F3 Nation Nantan Emeritus (Starfish) claims he is done with Twitter after “something that went on last night.”

Booboo invited the pax to participate in the Barefoot Mile immediately following the workout.  It’s an event that is designed to raise awareness about sex trafficking by walking a mile barefoot around downtown.  The pax, though they didn’t technically say it, seemed to have been more inclined to do that BEFORE we did Mary in the Brunson parking lot.

Prayer Requests:

Palin’s mom was just recently discharged from an addiction treatment facility- pray that she can enjoy the rest of her life victoriously in recovery.

YHC started by sharing something I read last night- Proverbs 10:22: “The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.”  What I was trying to say, but wasn’t quite able to get it out, was that there are lots of forms of wealth: emotional, mental, spiritual, familial, relational, financial, charitable, etc.  I wanted to ask the Lord to grant all of us immeasurable wealth, without painful toil, but couldn’t, so Root Canal, being the giant of a man that he is, took us out.  Stay wealthy my friends.
