6 Pax braved the humid conditions and lack of communicated plan and posted to SpeedTrap this morning.\u00a0 Ok, 5 posted not knowing the plan.\u00a0 Only YHC is dumb enough to come up with the plan and post.<\/p>\n
Now, we all know that Speed Trap is both the best and worst.\u00a0 4 – 8 bad-a$$ #fasthole mofos post to this each and every week despite knowing that it is likely to be pure torture.\u00a0 This is not a FNG friendly workout, and not just because I’m a regular attendee.\u00a0 Maximum effort is required, and the Pax delivers week after week.<\/p>\n
In coming up with today’s plan, I got in the wayback machine and dug up a workout we did a few years ago in preparation for BRR.\u00a0 It went down like this:<\/p>\n
Gather in the 1703 restaurant parking lot.\u00a0 Nobody there yet.\u00a0 Dinner doesn’t start until 4:00, so we’re good.\u00a0 Warm-up run from there down past Hanes Park and up and around to the corner of West End and Carolina.\u00a0 Plan is to run three loops, a little over a mile each.\u00a0 Run down Carolina and follow as it bends around to the right and becomes Summit.\u00a0 All the way up Summit (which is just a different way of running up Pilot View) and down to 4th.\u00a0 Right on 4th, right on Glade, right on West End back to Carolina.\u00a0 Repeato for three total loops.\u00a0 We were supposed to run 5K, 10K, 5K pace, but it ended up being more like 5K\/10K, Half Marathon, Half Marathon pace.<\/p>\n

That damn hill up Summit is terrible.\u00a0 I thought I was going to pass out on the first trip up.<\/p>\n
Pax crushed it today, like we do every Monday at Speed Trap<\/p>\n
Other runners should come out to Speed Trap, especially days when we’re on the track.\u00a0 Just bring your #fastholementality and you’ll be fine<\/p>\n
