{"id":9064,"date":"2019-05-22T07:10:03","date_gmt":"2019-05-22T11:10:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=9064"},"modified":"2019-05-22T14:28:20","modified_gmt":"2019-05-22T18:28:20","slug":"mongoose-repriseal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2019\/05\/mongoose-repriseal\/","title":{"rendered":"Mongoose Reprise(al)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It had been well over a year since YHC Q&#8217;d a workout at Mayhem (since February 7, 2018 to be exact), so I felt comfortable that the Statute of Limitations had run on dusting off a previous workout and trotting it out again.\u00a0 (I mean, who would really know, remember or care, right?)\u00a0 \u00a0Well, 6 of the 8 PAX who posted this morning were at that previous February 7, 2018 Mayhem workout, and they remembered and they cared.\u00a0 ESPECIALLY Mongoose, who hated that workout then, and he hated it just as much today (although in his defense he kept any bitching and cursing to himself as he led the PAX, nearly lapping YHC and a few others).<\/p>\n<p><strong>WARMARAMA\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0 A typical lineup of SSHs, Hillbillies, Seal Claps, Overhead Claps, Whirly&#8217;s with a social disease (when will he see a doctor and get rid of it?), Abe Vigodas and some standing hamstring stretches.\u00a0 After completing our warmups, the PAX moseyed to the rockpile near the front of the driveway into the Meadowlark schools, where the fun began.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE THANG <\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0 YHC pre-positioned 5 lights, each approximately 25-30 yards apart, running along the side of the driveway.\u00a0 The PAX were instructed to carefully select a rock from the pile, a rock with which they would become quite intimate over the course of the next 40 minutes.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what went down:<\/p>\n<p>Starting at\u00a0the first light, each PAX performs 25 reps of a listed leg exercise.\u00a0\u00a0 After completing the 25 reps of the leg exercise, each PAX\u00a0runs (while carrying\u00a0his rock) to\u00a0the\u00a0second light and performs 10 reps of\u00a0a listed chest\/arm\/shoulder exercise.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Upon completion, each PAX runs (still carrying\u00a0his rock) to the third light and performs 10 more reps of the same chest\/arm\/shoulder exercise.\u00a0 Upon completion, each PAX then runs to the fourth light (still carrying his rock) and performs 10 more reps of the same chest\/arm\/shoulder exercise.\u00a0\u00a0 Upon completion, each PAX runs to the fifth light (still carrying his rock) and then gets down and performs 25 reps of a listed abdominal exercise.\u00a0 Upon completion of the 25 reps of the first listed abdominal exercise, each PAX works his way back to the first light (still carrying his rock) in reverse order, stopping at the fourth, third and second lights to perform 10 reps of the same \u00a0chest\/arm\/shoulder exercise, resulting in\u00a0the completion of a\u00a0total of 60 reps of each chest\/arm\/shoulder exercise before moving on the next exercise in the list.<\/p>\n<p>Having returned to\u00a0the first light, REPEATO through the listed leg, chest\/arm\/shoulder and ab exercises until 0615 hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LEG EXERCISES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Goblet Squats w\/rock<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Monkey Humpers w\/o rock<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Calf Raises w\/rock<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Alternating Forward Lunges w\/rock<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>CHEST\/ARM\/SHOULDER EXERCISES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 Merkins w\/o rock<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0 Shoulder Presses w\/rock<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0 Curls w\/rock<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0 Skull Crushers w\/rock<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0 Rock Swings w\/rock (like kettle bell swings)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Upright Rows w\/rock<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0Bus Drivers w\/rock<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0Halos w\/rock<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0Bent over Rows w\/rock<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>AB EXERCISES (rocks optional):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>American Hammers<\/li>\n<li>Freddy Mercuries<\/li>\n<li>Heels to Heaven<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0LBCs<\/li>\n<li>Sweat Angels<\/li>\n<li>Low Flutter<\/li>\n<li>Sit-Ups<\/li>\n<li>Box Cutters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>FINIS!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NMM:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Splash is NOT MOVING to California.\u00a0 He is staying put in the Dash!!\u00a0 Hooray!<\/li>\n<li>Convergence on Monday, Memorial Day &#8212; Pay attention to the Calendar and the Twitters<\/li>\n<li>THE Pony Express is Q&#8217;ing at Purgatory at Saturday.\u00a0 To quote him, &#8220;IT&#8217;S GONNA BE EPIC!!&#8221;\u00a0 He&#8217;s been doing research and engaging consultants to ensure perfection.\u00a0 DO NOT MISS IT!<\/li>\n<li>Rust Bucket&#8217;s brother is coming down from Upstate (Cannadigua (sp?)
