Verdict is out as to whether this part of the mission was accomplished.\u00a0 The mumble chatter began as soon as certain members of the pax stepped foot on the AO\u2026.no names will be mentioned to protect the innocent, but the usual suspects like Thistle, Splash, Spamalot, Rust Bucket, Bulldog\u2026.heck, D-Day, Litterbox, Lamb Chop, Sgt Schultz, Root Canal, Spicoli, Greenspan\u2026basically the entire pax had gums smacking all morning with the exception of Undertow, Posthole and Ziggy Stardust\u2026who like Cherry Pie use a more refined definition of total body workout.<\/p>\n<p>So, after warm-o-rama at the AO, which was intentionally designed to run long to allow for any late arriving pax (ie: Spicoli \u2013 who was true to form), the pax set off for downtown. Specifically, the pax headed to The Rescue Mission &amp; site of F3 W-S\u2019s former Saturday morning AO.\u00a0 Along the way, 5 burpees were completed at every intersection.\u00a0 Some debate arose as to what makes an \u201cintersection\u201d.\u00a0 The Q avoided these philosophical musings and chose instead to look for any opportunity to up the burpee ante.<\/p>\n<p>Following a series of exercises at the Rescue Mission AO, the pax moseyed down Trade Street and the heart of the Arts District (no burpees) to the bus station for two rounds of sheer joy. From there the pax headed down to Patterson for the northward run back to Samaritan, stopping along the way for a series of exercises to allow the six to catch up.\u00a0 Back at Samaritan we headed to Proehl\u2019s Wall in honor of our fine friend.\u00a0 The specifics went something like this\u2026.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong><u>Warm-o-rama<\/u><\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Side Straddle Hop &#8211; 20<\/li>\n<li>Imperial Storm Trooper &#8211; 20<\/li>\n<li>Hillbillys &#8211; 20<\/li>\n<li>Windmills \u2013 15<\/li>\n<li>Freddy Mercs \u2013 20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><strong><u>Run to Rescue Mission<\/u> <\/strong><strong>@ Rescue Mission\u2026.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>5 burpees @ every intersection on the way \/ sometimes the lead pax did double<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>20 Hillbillys<\/li>\n<li>20 Merkins<\/li>\n<li>20 Full Extension Crunches<\/li>\n<li>10 Lunges (each leg)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><strong><u>Run to Bus Station<\/u><\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>15 Erkins<\/li>\n<li>15 Step-ups (each leg)<\/li>\n<li>15 Derkins<\/li>\n<li>10 Dips in cadence<\/li>\n<li>Run to Milennium Center \u2013 up down steps 5 times<\/li>\n<li>Repeat for a total of 2 rounds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><strong><u>Return to Samaritan via Patterson<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exercises for the lead pax @ multiple intersections, while waiting on the six<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><strong><u>Proehl\u2019s Wall<\/u><\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>People\u2018s chair<\/li>\n<li>Balls to the Wall<\/li>\n<li>15 Mike Tysons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><strong><u>Mary<\/u><\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mountain Climbers \u2013 20 (in cadence)<\/li>\n<li>LBCs \u2013 20 (in cadence)<\/li>\n<li>Mutton Crunches \u2013 10 each leg (in cadence)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cherry Pie is thankful for the pax that showed up for Sam Slam 2019, as well as for those who lifted today\u2019s gathering in prayer.
