PAX: Cherry Pie (WD), Lambchop, Buyout, D-Day, Palin,\nChitChat (WB), Spicoli (QIC)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PAX came out to celebrate my last day at 45 by celebrating\nthe numbers 4 & 5.  My 2.0 #ChitChat\nwas in attendance and stole the War Baby title from Lambchop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our mission is to\nplant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male\ncommunity leadership.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the mission statement and disclaimers were made to a\ncrew of seasoned veterans, we began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warmarama: general stuff: SSH, Squats, Arm swirls, Whirly,\nabe vigoda, merkins, peter parker, mountain climbers, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moseyed to the track for 4 rounds of BLIMPS (Burpees,\nLunges, Imperial Walkers, Merkins, Plankjacks, Squats) with rep count of 5 (5\/10\/15\/20\/25\/30),\nrunning 1 lap between rounds.  #CrowdPleaser<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ChitChat kept everyone \u201centertained\u201d with an endless stream\nof consciousness, including a new request that while doing IW\u2019s, someone should\nsing the Imperial March the whole time; so he did.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile Lampchop and Palin were discussing the ways catheters\nare secured in the body, whether through your femoral artery or through one\u2019s unit.  Descriptions included a balloon and the wrong\nways to pull them out.  #Educational<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mosey to pull up bars for 4 rounds of 5\/10\/15 Pullups,\nMerkin, Squats.  Inspired by Van Gogh\u2019s\ninvoking of mini-CINDY, but wanted to make it work with 4 & 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*** New STUFF:  before\nproceeding to next activity, I introduced the PAX to Rollback exercises.  It\u2019s were you rollback with your feet straight\nup in the air, then roll forward, ideally to your feet, and perform other\nactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Rollback with a jump<\/li>
  2. Rollback with a merkin<\/li>
  3. Kick Through merkins: from plank kick right leg\nunder body to left side raising left arm, back to center, do same on the right,\nhit one merkin = 1 rep.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    I found these fun but challenging.  Palin said he had fun watching me\ndemonstrate.  There were modifications.  You have not seen the last of these from YHC.  And No, I am not sponsored by Wal-Mart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Mosey to Education Hill:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Jacob\u2019s Ladder: 1 to 4 burpees at the top, 4 to 1 burpees at\nthe bottom: 4 rounds.  Beer crawl up on\nodd leg, run on evens.  Everyone loves\nthese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Moseyed back to parking lot for MOM: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We held plank while Buyout taught us how to count in\nAshanti.  Went through twice.  YHC is gonna need a visual to get it, but\nother PAX did a better job remembering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Lambchop was thankful his M\u2019s procedure was successful and she\u2019s healing at home.  He asks for prayers for continued recovery;<\/li>
    • Palin has a medical procedure coming up this Wednesday.  Keep him and Caitlin in mind and prayers for good results.  He\u2019ll be at home a few days recovering afterwards.  Reach out and take him for a walk if weather and time permits;<\/li>
    • Cherry Pie had a praise for good medical results recently with his family; <\/li>
    • YHC asked everyone to reach out to those you are thinking about; they may need to hear from you more than you know.  A friend from childhood took his own life recently, and I went to the funeral service.  It was hard to see his parents, his children, everyone trying to grieve through the loss. Reach out, if you feel so led.<\/li>
    • Also, YHC asked for mindfulness as my family is dealing with substance abuse and addiction and trying to make an improvement for all involved.

      <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Buyout prayed for us all with the concerns mentioned and\nthose in our hearts.  He also brought\nforward thankfulness and praise for being able to do what we do, being examples\nfor others, and to embrace our fellow \nman.  Aye!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Moleskin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • BLIMPS were new to some?  Found this surprising but all enjoyed.  Cherry Pie was out front.  Go figure.<\/li>
      • Buyout found us on the track, jumped right in\nwith cheerful disposition, and brought enthusiasm throughout the workout.<\/li>
      • Lambchop and Palin covered topics ranging from\nSTDs, catheters, balloons, urethras, and life saving techniques used on family\nmembers.  I have a lot to explain to\nChitChat\u2026<\/li>
      • Great to see D-Day, whose home AO is Speas.  It\u2019s like 3 blocks away.  Appreciate him making the trip to the\nMotherShip<\/li>
      • The Rollback exercises were met with\nskepticism.  I think they\u2019ll be a great\naddition; we\u2019ll see if they catch on. \nModify as necessary.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
