After a quick Warmarama involving SSHs, ISTs, Arm Swirly Things, Whirlys, Abe Vigodas and Mountain Climbers, during which YHC lost focus due to some giggling amongst some of the PAX apparently as a result of something I did or said, we moved onto THE THANG.

THE THANG: A starfish style workout encompassing a center station in the middle of the parking lot surrounded by five (5) stations at the outer edges of the parking lot, forming a very misshapen star. At the center station was a Weinke of ab/core exercises. At each of the outlying stations, located anywhere from 30-60 yards away from the center station, were points equipped with a Weinke of exercises generally, but not entirely, focused on a particular part of the body, to wit:

Arms

Legs

Chest

Shoulders

Miscellaneous

YHC brought along about 6 extra kettlebells/dumbells of various sizes. These extras, in addition to the weights brought by the PAX, enabled us to roughly distribute at least 4 kettlebells/dumbells evenly at each station (none were needed for the center ab/core station.)

The PAX paired off with a battle-buddy having more or less equivalent speed/stamina/enthusiasm, resulting in five 2-man teams and one 3-man team.

The PAX all started at the center station. After completing 20 reps of the first ab/core exercise (Freddy Mercs), the buddy-teams then scattered, running to the various outlying stations. After performing 20 reps of the first listed exercise, each buddy-team ran back to the center station to do 20 reps of the next listed ab/core exercise before running to the next outlying station, moving back and forth from the center to the various stations in a clockwise direction, working through each of the listed exercises. Unless otherwise stated (to wit: Burpees and Bodyweight skull crushers), 20 reps were required at each station before moving on.

The PAX worked out continuously, constantly moving back and forth until 0615 hours arrived. YHC and my partner, Schneider, nearly made it around the Star four full times. I think that every other team made about the same progress, with the exception of The Singing Cowboy and TSI, who just decided to do whatever they heck they wanted.

Given that we had worked our abs/core the entire time, we dispensed with MARY.

NMM:

Christmas Eve convergence at Outhouse

F3 workouts on Christmas Day are cancelled.
