{"id":7149,"date":"2018-12-06T12:10:50","date_gmt":"2018-12-06T16:10:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=7149"},"modified":"2018-12-06T12:10:50","modified_gmt":"2018-12-06T16:10:50","slug":"what-goes-up-must-come-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2018\/12\/what-goes-up-must-come-down\/","title":{"rendered":"What Goes Up Must Come Down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Date:\u00a0 12\/06\/18<\/p>\n<p>Q:\u00a0 Spamalot<\/p>\n<p>Pax: Bueller(?), Schneider, Drip, Mongoose, Hot N&#8217; Now (WB), Ziggy Stardust, Goofy, TPS, Undertow, Litebrite (co-WD), Rustbucket (co-WD), Hickory, Spamalot (QIC)<\/p>\n<p>A clear and cold (26 degrees) morning greeted the Pax for this week&#8217;s edition of TRQ (THE Rock Quarry).\u00a0 Principally a core (non-running) workout, the challenge this morning was to keep everyone warm without violating the general spirit of AO.\u00a0 (As an aside, there is a chance that YHC may receive an email from Burlap admonishing the Q for the (perceived) amount of running).<\/p>\n<p>Though no FNGs were present, a full disclaimer was presented.\u00a0 The Pax saw right through the Q, and quickly determined that YHC was indeed an attorney.\u00a0 YHC disclosed that YHC is the best of both worlds:\u00a0 a trial attorney who now works as a banker.\u00a0 Does it get any better?\u00a0 YHC thinks not.<\/p>\n<p>With the formalities out of the way, time to GO:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warm-0-Rama<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Usual selection of exercises here:\u00a0 SSH, IST, Over-head-claps, Whirly has the clap (NEAR Q fail here, as YHC almost proceeded to perform Abe Vigodas), and Merkins-alt. shoulder taps-Merkins (#crowdfavorite).\u00a0 All IC, All x 15<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE THANG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mosey to flag pole.\u00a0 Pax were informed that theme of the day was&#8230;.ladders.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning at flagpole, mosey in direction of tennis courts.\u00a0 At each of the four light poles, stop and perform an increasing number of reps of the called exercise.\u00a0 Plank for the six.<\/p>\n<p>5 Plank Jacks<\/p>\n<p>10 Plank Jacks<\/p>\n<p>15 Plank Jacks<\/p>\n<p>20 Plank Jacks<\/p>\n<p>On the way back to the flag pole, perform:<\/p>\n<p>5 SSH<\/p>\n<p>10 SSH<\/p>\n<p>15 SSH<\/p>\n<p>20 SSH<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mosey to rock pile and pick out medium sized rock.\u00a0 Walk with rock to the wall.\u00a0 Leave the rock there.\u00a0 Back to rock pile and grab another medium sized rock.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ladders with rocks-\u00a0<\/strong>Perform 10 curls, drop rock and mosey to other rock near wall.\u00a0 Perform 1 skull crusher.\u00a0 Drop rock and return to other rock.\u00a0 Perform 9 curls, then 2 skull crushers.\u00a0 Continue with this pattern until 1 curl and 10 skull crushers.\u00a0 Al Gore for six.<\/p>\n<p>Grab rock from wall area and return it to the pile.<\/p>\n<p>Find a small rock and large rock and place it along side the (remaining) medium rock.\u00a0 Time for (yes, Mongoose) <strong>DROP SETS<\/strong>.\u00a0 Begin with heaviest rock &#8211; perform reps IC, immediately switch to medium rock- perform reps IC, immediately switch to small rock- perform reps IC.<\/p>\n<p>Exercises performed:<\/p>\n<p>Curls &#8211; 10\/10\/10<\/p>\n<p>Overhead press &#8211; 10\/10\/10<\/p>\n<p>Bent over rows &#8211; 10\/10\/10<\/p>\n<p>Chest press &#8211; 10\/10\/10<\/p>\n<p>Squats &#8211; 10\/10\/10<\/p>\n<p>150 reps done!<\/p>\n<p>Return all rocks to the pile, mosey back to parking lot for&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>MARY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LBCs, Box Cutters, Heals to Heaven, Penguin Crunches, Mutton Crunch, and Peter Parkers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TIME!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NMM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Outstanding group of Pax this morning.\u00a0 You never know what a turnout will look like on a Thursday morning with temps barely over 20 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>MC was low &#8211; some minor complaining that &#8220;this is a non-running workout, so why are we running?&#8221;\u00a0 Duly noted.<\/p>\n<p>On the near Q-fail of Whirly has the clap, YHC hoped no one noticed.\u00a0 Right&#8230;.Goofy (rightly) laughed at YHC for the misdirection.<\/p>\n<p>Site Q forgot to turn on the rock warmer.\u00a0 As a result, Ziggy Stardust had to go retrieve warmer gloves from his car.\u00a0 For a minute, YHC thought it was an excuse to leave, but he returned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Announcements\/Prayer Requests<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>F3\/FiA Holiday Party!\u00a0 12\/15 @ 6pm.
