{"id":6075,"date":"2018-08-27T09:08:59","date_gmt":"2018-08-27T13:08:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=6075"},"modified":"2018-08-27T09:08:59","modified_gmt":"2018-08-27T13:08:59","slug":"theres-no-c-in-spelling-at-the-estate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2018\/08\/theres-no-c-in-spelling-at-the-estate\/","title":{"rendered":"There&#8217;s no C in spelling at the Estate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>There&#8217;s no C in stupid or spelling<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>8\/27\/18<\/p>\n<p>QIC: BAM<\/p>\n<p>Pax: Litterbox, Wobegon, Swiss Miss (birthday boy), Huckleberry (site Q), Snooki, Barbie, Cheesesteak, Bill Nye, Burns (WB), Undertow (WD), Cobra, Touchmenot, Roosevelt, Hazer, BAM (QIC)<\/p>\n<p>With public school starting back today, the Q drew on his deep and varied movie knowledge to help shape the appropriate theme.\u00a0 That&#8217;s all well and good, but the Q&#8217;s fatal flaw was trying to pull off two theme&#8217;s in the same beatdown.\u00a0 The second born out of a classic &#8220;joke&#8221; where the Dash Pax help countdown the days to Swiss Miss&#8217; birthday as the appropriate way to deal with the vacuum of things to talk about after Shmedfest.\u00a0 Since neither Swiss Miss or Shmedfest have a C in them, the Q triumphantly stated to the pax that there would be no exercises today with the letter C in them.\u00a0 YHC may have stated with great confidence how few exercises actually have the letter C in them! Turns out, if you don&#8217;t know what the letter C looks like, that is a true statement.\u00a0 If you actually passed kindergarten, you realize there are quite a few.<\/p>\n<p>Cobra&#8217;s car was spotted sitting empty, but as 0530 was about to strike, no sighting of the former Nantan.\u00a0 Oh wait, there he is with his faithful steed, Winston!\u00a0 &#8220;I&#8217;m at Defcon 4! Where are y&#8217;all heading and I&#8217;ll catch up?&#8221; Was all that was heard.\u00a0 The Q shouted back taking trail to Wake, but that would prove to vague to allow proper recon after necessary fertilizing.<\/p>\n<div><strong>Warm-o-rama<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>SSH<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>IW<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><span>Abe Vigoda<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mt <strong>Climber<\/strong> (CRAP!) Q meant Tempo Squats<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Merkin<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Thang<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>BOMBS to the Quad &#8211; Thankfully for Hazer&#8217;s attendance to be able to answer the eternal question, &#8220;Was it over when the Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor?&#8221;\u00a0 The only appropriate response is &#8220;Hell no!&#8221; Animal House being a classic &#8220;school&#8221; movie, Pax broke up the trip to the Quad by dropping a bomb<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/V8lT1o0sDwI\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/V8lT1o0sDwI<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<div>5 Burpees at trail entrance<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>10 Overhead <strong>Claps<\/strong> (Dammit!! Q means overhead arm swingy things where palms run into each other and make some form of noise) at small bridge<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>15 Merkins at trail exit<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>20 Big Boy Sit ups at library<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>25 Squats at steps to quad<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Triple Lindy (3 Man Grinder)\u00a0 The Triple Lindy is of course the dive made famous in the 1986 Rodney Dangerfield classic, Back to School.\u00a0 (Hazer knew this as well)<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/V8lT1o0sDwI\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/rDMMYT3vkTk<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Dips at Reynolda Hall &amp; Lunges at Wait Chapel<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>CDD &amp; Calf Raises (really? 2 exercises with C&#8217; in them? What were you thinking? The Q clearly meant Downward Dog push ups and Ankle Raises)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Peter Parkers &amp; Squat Jumps<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Thorton Melon, Rodney Dangerfield&#8217;s character, made his money by running a chain of plus-sized clothing stores called Tall &amp; Fat. So, to break up the run back home pax did a Plus-sized relay race!<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/j6W2tXk6yBs\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/j6W2tXk6yBs<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Divided up into 2 teams<\/li>\n<li>1 pax from each team ran from entrance to small bridge followed by 10 merkins (that&#8217;s the plus part)<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Then yelled for next teammate to take off (because running back to tag your partners hand wouldn&#8217;t help us get home any faster)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Industrious pax did a variety of exercises after their sprint.\u00a0 Moseyed to end of trail and did more exercises on the wall.<\/li>\n<li>As pax moseyed back to parking lot, there was a green blinking light running around, Winston!!
