Early in the week Site Q @SourMash sent the reminder tweet to YHC and after my positive response he even sent a theme idea.\u00a0 On this day in history, gold was discovered in the Yukon beginning the Yukon\/Alaska gold rush of the late 1890s.\u00a0 What the heck – YHC has been busy but the idea is always the hardest part – a few discarded exercises that would have been an even greater stretch later, we had a workout.<\/p>\n
6 other pax joined me although there were 2 extra cars that we determined to be Drano and Offsides – oh well they know what time we start so it was off after a very brief description of why we would be doing these gold rush related exercises.\u00a0 As an added bonus, YHC treated the pax to a little music (Q experiment #1) the Johnny Horton classic – North To Alaska.\u00a0 Tclaps to Skidmark for knowing the artist.\u00a0 The music lasted to our first stop.\u00a0 Oh you want to hear about the workout – almost forgot<\/p>\n

Q called Snow Angels and Russian Twists.\u00a0 Rest of pax called various standards until we came to Drano the runner who called 10 burpees.\u00a0 We did them and we were done.<\/p>\n

Good to see Skidmark again – YHC had heard rumors of his return<\/p>\n
However, Skidmark may not have been happy to see ShakeN Bake who dropped him at some point of Partner carry – don’t believe any lasting damage or skidmarks on the field<\/p>\n
The Bronco field was very nice today with freshly painted lines and great grass – Hope Carla doesn’t monitor our use of this<\/p>\n
Thanks to the pax for putting up with the theme – most exercises were not too much of a stretch – sidekicks and breaststrokes near traffic raised a little mc as expected<\/p>\n
Runners put in 5 miles – so they say – glad they joined us for Mary until Drano called burpees<\/p>\n
60 Minutes was making Novant connections at the end of workout – glad he knows more people there than just Mongoose<\/p>\n
Finally, the Site Q Sour Mash was noticeably absent for a workout which he suggested the theme.\u00a0 All that work that YHC put in …ugh. He is quite the runner now and needed a recovery day.\u00a0 Put me down for next August 16 and we’ll do it again.<\/p>\n

YHC took us out with experiment #3 – learned this in posting last Sat in Greenville SC.\u00a0 At the end of standard thanks and asks – YHC said something to the effect of thanks for the ability to come out and exercise for the day will come when we are not able to do so (and after preprayer instruction pax responded) …But today is not that day.<\/p>\n
