{"id":5892,"date":"2018-08-08T07:46:19","date_gmt":"2018-08-08T11:46:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=5892"},"modified":"2018-08-08T07:46:19","modified_gmt":"2018-08-08T11:46:19","slug":"somebody-say-burpees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2018\/08\/somebody-say-burpees\/","title":{"rendered":"Somebody say burpees?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>7 PAX (Zima, Offsides (R), Drama Queen (R), Pony Express (R), Rey Eye, Lemming, Van Pelt (Q, R) rolled into Meadowlark for a tame and timid workout known as Mayhem.\u00a0 Well, 6 rolled in; Zima ran in with shovel flag in tow.\u00a0 Firmly planted.<\/p>\n<p>YHC is not a fan of the burpee.\u00a0 Not an exercise enjoyed by long-legged, soccer-armed, old guys.\u00a0 My M can out-burpee me any day of the week.\u00a0 I am not proud&#8230;just saying.\u00a0 Well, F3 is about getting better.\u00a0 No better way to get better than to tackle exercises you don&#8217;t enjoy.\u00a0 No better way to guarantee you will do said exercises than to Q them.\u00a0 So, with a decently-recited disclaimer given, off we went.<\/p>\n<p>Warm-O-Rama:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10 burpees on your own<\/li>\n<li>15 IW in cadence<\/li>\n<li>10 donkey kick merkins OYO (hold plank)<\/li>\n<li>10 mountain climbers IC (hold)<\/li>\n<li>10 low plank jacks IC (hold)<\/li>\n<li>10 frogs (hold)<\/li>\n<li>10 alpines (or side-to-side mountain climbers) IC (recover and mumblechatter about shoulders hurting)<\/li>\n<li>10 burpees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mosey to the driveway near the shelter.\u00a0 10 burpees.\u00a0 Continue on to the shelter.<\/p>\n<p>Partner A does 10 jump ups (or step ups), 10 dips, and 10 derkins.\u00a0 Continue to cycle through as Partner B runs to the driveway, does 15 frogs, and returns.\u00a0 On the handoff, each do 10 burpees.\u00a0 Flapjack.\u00a0 Another 10 burpees.<\/p>\n<p>Do some LBCs to gather your wits.<\/p>\n<p>Repeat the sequence again, including the burpees.<\/p>\n<p>Mosey back to driveway for Rack &amp; Stack suicides.\u00a0 Do 10 burpees before we begin.\u00a0 Merkins, Jumpsquats, MCs, and Burpees.\u00a0 Total of 70 merkins, 50 jump squats, 30 MCs, and 10 burpees.<\/p>\n<p>Recover by performing&#8230; you guessed it, 10 burpees.<\/p>\n<p>Mosey to wall for 2 rounds of Peoples Donkey Balls.\u00a0 (chair with 25 arm presses, 15 donkey kicks OYO, BTW for some period of time.)\u00a0 Mosey to the bus lot for Mary.<\/p>\n<p>Mary:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10 burpees (why of course.\u00a0 For those keeping score at home, that&#8217;s 100 total)<\/li>\n<li>Zima led WWI crunches.<\/li>\n<li>Red Eye led mutton crunches<\/li>\n<li>Pony led the Big O<\/li>\n<li>DQ led Freddy Mercury<\/li>\n<li>Offsides led low dolly<\/li>\n<li>Lemming led banana\/superman<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Finished<\/p>\n<p>NMM:<br \/>\nGreat work by all.\u00a0 If told 100 burpees were in your future, perhaps you fartsack.
