A big Q fail from the outset did not daunt these intrepid ruckers and @DDay proposed the simple yet elegant solution of executing the route in reverse and that&#8217;s what we did.<\/p>\n<p>We launched from the parking lot of Fleet Feet sports on Stratford (278 Harvey St, Winston Salem, NC 27103).<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/2184497404\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MMR Link<\/a> to the route, but keep in mind we did it backwards.<\/p>\n<p>~5.36mi ~169ft gain<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the TBT for the backwards version:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Left out of parking lot onto Stratford<\/li>\n<li>L on Knollwood<\/li>\n<li>R on Country Club<\/li>\n<li>L on Arbor<\/li>\n<li>L on Forest Dr<\/li>\n<li>L Club Park Rd<\/li>\n<li>L on Country Club<\/li>\n<li>R on S Westview Dr<\/li>\n<li>R on Stratford<\/li>\n<li>R into parking lot &amp; return to start<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>YHC took us out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Announcements and COT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shmedfest 8\/25<\/li>\n<li>@DDay (aka Thor) pointed out that the route looks like Thor&#8217;s hammer, Mj\u00f6lnir<\/li>\n<li>@Starfish pointed out that the original pre-blast showed only 1.69ft of gain, which was the source of several jokes this morning whenever we came to curbs, bumps, or even larger hills&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Enjoyable ruck this sunny morning, in spite of the humidity.
