8 pax gathered for the weekly installment of #dawgpound. Attendance has varied a bit of late at the Pound but 8 was a perfect # for what YHC had planned. WARMORAMA
\nPretty standard stuff – SSH, IW or IST your choice, Abe Vigodas, WWTC, and Squats. Mosey down to the intersection for a few arm warm ups – Seal claps, OH claps, and Moroccan Night Clubs.<\/p>\n
We moseyed on to the rock pile under the bridge where all pax picked a reasonable sized rock except for Drano who exchanged his after round 1. Exercises performed were curls, OH press, skull crushers and bent over rows. After one round partners were selected and partner with smaller rock got to put his back. Partners then carried remaining rocks (alternating occasionally) to bottom of hill near old stables.<\/p>\n
P1 then ran to top of hill and performed 15 OYO of curls while P2 stayed at bottom of hill and did LBCs until P1 returned. Flapjacking and rotating through all previously performed rock exercises while other ab exercises at bottom were low flutter, low dolly and WWII sit ups. We then returned rocks to under bridge.<\/p>\n
This took longer than YHC expected so an Omaha was needed to get in some more work. We circled field in front of band shell stopping at various points and performed merkins, dips, grabbing fence post for heels to heaven – Starfish called these something and YHC learned these in Greenville SC where they called them either dragonfly or praying mantis (whatever name they were sufficient at 10 IC) and F\/R lunge combo.<\/p>\n
Time to run back to parking lot for a brief round of Mary which consisted of box cutters, Big O, Mutton Crunch and maybe one more.<\/p>\n

It took Drano a while to loosen up and he almost complained – Ink Spot noted he would not want to be at a workout in which Drano complained<\/p>\n
Speaking of Ink Spot – he continues to be the ageless wonder and struck fear in the pax when he noted he would be Qing The Estate Monday<\/p>\n
Carrying rocks up a hill adds two extra elements to running – the pax tackled it with their normal vigor but all were a little slower but end of round 4.<\/p>\n
YHC covered 2.75 mi. Lassie runners should have had over 3. Not bad for all the other stuff we did.<\/p>\n
