11 PAX and YHC gathered at Speas for a little Purgatory.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Warm up took place without any unusual happenings.\u00a0 Inkspot was marked as \u201ctardy,\u201d but spirits seemed high as the men engaged in light chatter.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

After a mosey to the track with a few exercises thrown in along the way we were ready for some partner work.\u00a0 YHC noted that the track seemed longer than I remembered\u2026 but the die was already cast\u2026 so we proceeded to take 5 journeys in the opposite direction of our partners meeting to conduct a variety of sit-up, merkin-ish and partner help up exercises.\u00a0 About lap 3 the length of the track was starting to be felt, but the men persisted.\u00a0 The last exercise was ripped from the lexicon, \u201cWilson\u2019s Wife\u201d is a partner assisted hand stand with the hand-standing partner then performing as MRAP merkins, or whatever you call them when you are hand standing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Time to move on.\u00a0 YHC thought about giving the PAX the choice between rocks and Tabata, but nah, heart rates were up and it seemed like a waste to slow things down, so we reverse pelottoned (not a word?) to the Lido Deck.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

The PAX were given one reprieve, as I recognized there would be no time for Mary, they were allowed to pick one exercise to replace with a Mary.\u00a0 An argument broke out over which exercise to eliminate but all PAX swore that the burpee \u201cmust remain!\u201d\u00a0 Or everyone was unanimous on the burpee being thrown to the curb.\u00a0 So when the burpee was listed the PAX called out an alternate, Mutton Crunch (left then right,) Low Flutter and LBC.\u00a0 One silent vote for the burpee must have been from RootCanel and we witnessed him doing a few, he is a sick man.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Four rounds of six exercises and then boom, we were done.\u00a0 Music provided by “The Boss,” The Who and REM.\u00a0 The mosey back to the parking lot was hard\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

COT was heartfelt.\u00a0 We recognized that all but two PAX were \u201crespect.\u201d\u00a0 Grateful that we aging well together.\u00a0 Parkay seemed a bit dismayed at the quantity of years he had ahead of him\u2026 Being the other non-respect, Sgt. Schultz added that he is glad to see men in the next decade continuing to work hard to stay in shape.<\/strong><\/p>\n
