They were clearly drunk during the show. This was such a regular occurrence during the tour, it is rumored that Petty fired them as a result.

“Drown” – Son Volt. Enough said. YHCs ears are still ringing from this Dayton, Ohio show from the “And Justice for All” tour in 1988/89. Epic.

“Monday” – Wilco. Jeff Tweedy leads this revolutionary band. The second half of Uncle Tupelo, they continue to push the envelope. Never boring. Saw in Raleigh maybe 5 years ago. Nick Lowe opened.

“Wreck Me” – Tom Petty. See notes from The Replacements. Feel privileged that YHC saw him in concert.

“Small Town” – John Mellencamp. On YHCs Mt Rushmore of all time favorite artists. Have seen the “Little Bastard” five times. Best experience was in maybe 1998/99 when he played in numerous public parks throughout Midwest cities. He made a stop in Detroit. Was fantastic. Also saw him perform National Anthem and halftime show on Thanksgiving day game between Lions and Colts. Manning threw for 6 TDs.

“Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” – Elton John. Fantastic song writer and high energy performer. Saw him at the Palace in metro Detroit in he late 1990’s

“Choctaw Bingo” – James McMurtry. YHC could write volumes about James. Have had the pleasure of seeing him 9 times and counting. Locations include Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, and Winston-Salem. No way to pick a favorite song from perhaps the best song writer in the business. Choctaw Bingo talk has been described as the true National Anthem of our country.

Date: 03/28/18 Q: Spamalot Pax: Goofy, The Singing Cowboy, Landshark, Poncho, Lace, Zuckerberg, Bluto, Tuco, Interference, Cobra, Earwax, Cato, Spamalot, plus two others, recording was poor at best.
