On a cold Saturday in March, the optimal number of PAX attended the return of Ultimate Frisburpee to Impossible Situation.\u00a0 4 UFB FNG’s got to see what this magical beat down is all about.<\/p>\n
The Warm up went as follows:<\/p>\n
SSH – 20 ic
\nWhirly with the clap – 15 ic
\nIW’s – 15 ic
\nAbe Vigodas – 10 ic
\nArm Swirly – 10 each direction ic<\/p>\n
Two laps around the track, one regular, one with butt kickers, high knees, karaoke’s, and something else that YHC has forgotten.<\/p>\n
We approached YHC’s designated field, though due to the lack of light during setup YHC did not notice the high likelihood of ankle death so omaha to a better field.<\/p>\n
1st half – teams were divided into 7s based on shirt color with a confused Mr. Stardust not really knowing which team he was on for a point or two.\u00a0 Or perhaps YHC was the one who didn’t know?\u00a0 YHC’s team of All Stars consisted of LB, VG, LC, ZS, Schneider (who didn’t figure out the sidelines until the final point of the game), and RC.\u00a0 \u00a0About 3 points in, Lamb Chop used his best knifehand strike to split the frisbee in twain.\u00a0 Luckily Ziggy had a wobbly, light, possibly dog chewed replacement called “the Spider from Mars”.\u00a0 We waited and pretended to do burpees while it was located.\u00a0 Using our height, and and Hedwig’s inability to catch; probably due to lack of focus with something important happening in the near future.\u00a0 I’m not sure what it was, but seriously dude,\u00a0 get your head in the game; we dominated the first half leading 5-1 at the break.\u00a0 It should be pointed out that when I say used our height I am clearly not referring to YHC who, in Ultimate parlance, was skied by Mutton early on to the delight of everyone, YHC’s own team included.\u00a0 Probably at least 60 burpees were performed.<\/p>\n
We met in the middle for a short round of Mary which consisted of LBC’s, Flutter Kicks, Mutton\/Lamb Chop crunches, before returning to the game.<\/p>\n
2nd half – honestly the only things I remember about the second half were doing burpees, Schneider’s continued inability to stay in bounds, and a general consensus that YHC makes up rules as I go.\u00a0 Perhaps I will host a rules orientation prior to the next one, so that when I invoke a rule, it will have been laid out before.\u00a0 In the meantime, UFBers, here’s a link to the rules\u00a0https:\/\/www.usaultimate.org\/assets\/1\/Page\/USAU_Recreational_Rules_Final_v2.pdf<\/p>\n
We won the game some high score, to some lower score with both scores being greater than 5 for the winning team and 1 for the losing team.<\/p>\n
MC – Apparently there was a lot of it, and it was interesting, but YHC was too focused on the game.\u00a0 Perhaps VG will regale you with the tales in the comments.<\/p>\n
