Back in the halcyon days of our youth, aka two weeks ago, we had a quiet little gathering of like-minded #HighImpactMen on Sunday mornings in F3WinstonSalem, aka Dash Pax Ruckers.\u00a0 Then, we got the idea to go official and get ourselves added to the reborn F3WinstonSalem website.\u00a0 Oh, wait a minute, better post the pax names here since the website may or may not display them:<\/p>\n
Pax:\u00a0 Fingers, BAM, DDay, Lite Brite (WD), Hoptoberfest, Sgt. Schultz, Tuco, Undertow, Cobra, Cobra’s Dog (WB), Starfish<\/p>\n

Now, where was YHC?\u00a0 Oh yeah, we were reminiscing about the good ol’ days where we had an intimate gathering strung together largely by very low key Twitter direct messages, fake HCs by @Geppetto, getting lost in Bermuda Run and icicles in our beards.\u00a0 And then last week, we decided to go official.\u00a0 And then our DM list got taken over by Natville’s @Smokey who might be smoking something and is REALLY into rucking.\u00a0 #DPRRedwoodOriginals @Cobra and @BAM even left the DM group and YHC was tempted to leave the DM group, but wasn’t sure what would happen if he left a DM group that he started.\u00a0 So we persevered.<\/p>\n
And now, apparently we are also required to post preblasts on the reborn website (even though YHC did post a preblast with all salient information on the #Twitter).\u00a0 And YHC was always planning on posting this here backblast, but isn’t so sure that he will actually go through with it because of the #Twitterstorm apparently going on courtesy of the self-proclaimed #WebsiteCzar.\u00a0 YHC still, at the time of writing this very sentence, doesn’t know whether the interwebs will ever see this masterpiece.\u00a0 It really is quite the internal conflict going on.\u00a0 Does YHC stick to the original plan and post the #DPR backblast anyway, even that might make the #WebsiteCzar believe that he has influence and persuasive powers over what YHC does?\u00a0 Or does YHC hide his light under a bushel and resist?\u00a0 Will anyone actually really ever read this?\u00a0 YHC sure does miss the old website where all F3Nation regions came together, pax actually DID read the backblasts AND comment on them.\u00a0 Why did @AP have to shut that glorious culture-building thing down and leave it to all of the regions to fend for themselves?<\/p>\n
Anywho….9 strong and resolute men showed up at the Calvary Baptist parking lot before 0645 this morning.\u00a0 Having received an #HC from #NantanEmeritus last night, albeit one with the warning that he was celebrating his Irishness, YHC decided we would take a lap around the parking lot just in case #HungoverCobra really showed.\u00a0 YHC loves him some #HungoverCobra and his #3rdF was rewarded when @Cobra and @Cobra’sDog peel in on two wheels right as we were heading out of the parking lot to tackle the pre-planned (AND preblasted) route.\u00a0 @Fingers and YHC shared some great #2ndF, picking up where we left off at last week’s #FirstOfficial #DPR and came to the conclusion that music and mathematics are so closely related (and then when YHC got home and turned on CBS This Morning, @WyntonMarsalis was saying THE SAME THING…..#Freaky).\u00a0 @Cobra and @Cobra’sDog caught up to us and kept moving right on by when we threatened to start another gun control debate.\u00a0 @LiteBrite, fresh off representing the #DashPax at Natville’s #Ruckus, decided he would walk right up to the bear and poke him by telling @Cobra that @Gunny was exponentially tougher than @Cobra.\u00a0 Or something like that.\u00a0 At least that’s what YHC heard.\u00a0 Soon thereafter, @Tuco, @Undertow and @Hoptoberfest (#DPRFNG) sprinted to catch up, saying that YHC looked lonely.\u00a0 That wasn’t loneliness.\u00a0 That was keeping a safe distance between #Bear and #BearPoker.\u00a0 Climbing Bryanplace\/Allistair, YHC was so enthralled by the conversation of the now eightsome and distracted by seeing @Huckleberry and @TouchMeNot running down the hill we were trying to climb UP, that we missed a turn and had to doubleback on Litchfield to get back on track on Fernmarch.\u00a0 #ExtraCredit.\u00a0 And then in at least the second #Qfail (if you don’t count not posting a preblast on this website), YHC completely dropped @SgtShultz and our second #DPRFNG @DDay.\u00a0 Actually, YHC didn’t drop them.\u00a0 It’s just that @SgtShultz likes to carry something like 150 lbs in his pack and hang back in case @Fingers decides to play any Canadian rock and roll.\u00a0 But he ran the risk of hearing @DDay, who is actually Canadian!, wax eloquent about the #GreatWhiteNorth.\u00a0 We all know that @SgtShultz has a problem with the Commonwealth to our North.\u00a0 Just hoping he and @DDay were able to find some common ground on their long walk in the suburbs.<\/p>\n

The first #Qfail caused an additional 1\/2 mile so according to @Fingers’ generous MMR lady, we did 6.05 miles.\u00a0 318 feet of gain.\u00a0 All three Fs.\u00a0 Not bad.\u00a0 And let’s never forget about one of the more important Fs……#Fun!<\/p>\n
