In a way to try and find normalcy in our sometimes crazy mixed up world, we spend time together pushing each other at beatdowns, meet ups and 2nd F opps. This beatdown at VI was intended to be silly and based on a gambling theme as YHC was headed to Vegas on Tuesday. As we all woke to reports of a shooting with numbers that would only grow throughout the day, the attempt at a silly theme was dispensed and so we simply went with hard work and a sense of carrying on. \nSuper 21 – Starting on the 3rd base line perform 1 Merkin and then “dealers choice sprint” to either the right field fence or somewhere a little shorter and perform 20 LBC’s – the total equaling 21. Sprint back and increase and decrease until each PAX does 21 Merkins down to 1 LBC. This took a while, but was exactly in time for a mosey back to the flag for…<\/p>\n
\nYHC had a deck of cards and was the dealer. While an individual PAX was playing blackjack against the dealer, the remaining PAX chose either Al Gore or Plank to “rest.” If the PAX beat the dealer they called a Mary exercise, if the Dealer won, then YHC called the exercise. We completed 2 rounds of this doing some semblance of these: low flutter, LBC’s, Russian Twists, box cutters, the big O, Penguin crunches, Peter Parkers, Parker Peters and Freddie Mercuries. We finished right on time and posed for the prefunctory VI selfie.

\nMumble Chatter was a bit light today however a few notables and observations were recorded:
\nSpam gets the school spirit award as he brings and plants the flag, and reminds of the selfie. He also works hard in the dark on a wet field.
\nIt was YHC’s first opportunity to meet Conway and Sassy. Both are fantastic additions who work hard. Sassy literally called to double in the Beat the Dealer phase #player. Conway called his winning exercise like a pro. Zero hesitation for these relatively new PAX. Sign these boys up to Q ASAP!
\nLite Brite and DQ may gimp around but they get the work done. DQ was questioning the finishability of the Super 21. but alas we all ripped it out. Great work to barely older than YHC respects!
\nSour Mash has to go at 6 bells. YHC did not realize this or would have modified. Well, probably not…. Superb work Mash, always a joy to post with you.

\nMen as I pen this a day late, I am literally sitting on a plane from Dallas to Las Vegas. There has to be parents, friends and families of the victims and those impacted on this flight. The mood is quiet and you can sense the somberness in the air. Hug your families tonight, be a little less grumpy about the little things. You each bring me joy and help my flame burn brighter, lets try and carry our light into this sometimes crazy dark world.
