The Bible Answer Man texted late yesterday, inviting YHC on a pre-run before UA. My posting stats have been down recently, so it seemed like a good option. After a slow-to-most-but-hey-not-bad-pace-to-Wobe mosey around downtown, we met up with the Assaliants and got down to it. Shovel Flag planted, circle up, here we go. 49 degrees, can’t beat it.

Warm-O-Rama

A virtual greatest hits of WOR work.

Over to the Coal Pit for…

THE THANG

PHASE 1: THE SINGLE CLASSIC DORA

  • 100 Merkins

  • 200 Squats

  • 300 LBCs

    PHASE 2: THE DOUBLE DORA

The running partner runs down, does two burpees, and runs back. Everyone loved this.

    • 100 Shoulder Taps

    • 200 Lunges

    • 300 Low Flutters

      PHASE 3: THE TRIPLE DORA

The running partner runs down, does three Mike Tysons, and runs back. Again, a fan favorite.

      • 100 Carolina Dry Docks

      • 100 Reverse Lunges

      • 100 American Hammers

Just enough time to mosey back and a round of Mary by committee and planking out the last minute.

        COT:

        • Mutton and his M are hosting a benefit dinner for Brenner’s in November; see him.

        • IPC keeps happening! You may not like it, but accept it.

        • Reminder that keeping any AO going needs effort; this whole crazy thing works when we work.

        • Prayers for the family of a friend of Bam’s who passed away from breast cancer; funeral today.

        • Prayers for my M, whose routine, minor, not-scary-but-still skin cancer treatment has turned into a healing debacle that will involve a lawyer at some point. Anyone know a good one?

        • Seriously, eff cancer.

          NMM:

          • As far as I can tell, Mutton and Spicoli solved the issues that higher education is having. Doing the Lord’s work out here before 6am.

          • Starfish is so fast now, dang.

          • T-Claps to B-A “Running Is Stupid” M for the push for the EC, it was a good start to the day.

          • Lambchop cares for those with shoulder issues, despite his love for burpees.

          • YHC banged his shin on a chair right after calling said burpees, and the pax made it clear that karma is a thing.

          • Coffee after was excellent.

Thanks for the keys, Spicoli. While I squandered the chance for rhinestones and country music on 9-25 Dolly Day, it was still a good morning.
