Dissension is a noun that means <\/span><\/mark>strong disagreement, a sharp difference of opinion, or active conflict that creates a lack of harmony and splits people into opposing groups.<\/p>\n

Descension is an archaic or formal noun that means the act of going down, sinking or falling. It is the opposite of ascension.<\/p>\n

We had dissension in spades this morning at WIB.\u00a0 There was no descension during the workout.<\/p>\n

Launch at ground floor of claustrophobic low clearance parking deck at 370 Knollwood St.\u00a0 Each landing of the ramp going up will represent a pain station, starting with the ground floor entrance as Station 1.\u00a0 Stations are as follows:<\/p>\n

1.)\u00a0R<\/strong>everse Lunges x3 OYO, run up ramp<\/p>\n

2.)\u00a0A<\/strong>merican Hammers x3 OYO, hang a right, run up ramp<\/p>\n

3.)\u00a0M<\/strong>erkins x3 OYO, hang a right, run up ramp<\/p>\n

4.)\u00a0B<\/strong>urpees x3 OYO, hang a right, run up ramp<\/p>\n

5.)\u00a0L<\/strong>BCs x3 OYO, hang a right, run up ramp<\/p>\n

6.)\u00a0E<\/strong>lbow Plank Jacks x3 OYO, hang a right,run to cable fence at other end next to stairwell<\/p>\n

7.)\u00a0S<\/strong>quats on a Wire x3 OYO<\/p>\n

Run downstairs back to launch spot.\u00a0 Repeato, escalating by 3 reps each round (so second round do 6 of each exercise at each pain station stop, third round do 9 of each exercise at each pain station stop and so forth and so on).\u00a0 [After 7 rounds (i.e., the round of 21x reps), de-escalate by 3 reps each round.]\u00a0 AMRAP for 45 minutes.<\/p>\n

It was fun.\u00a0 I promise.<\/p>\n

On the third round (aka the round with 9 reps of each exercise), @Lambchop verbalized his dissent on the ascension to 21 and started trying to sell me on a package that would have us start descending after that third round.\u00a0 But, this being a old school WIB where YHC had already posted an official pre-blast with the plan, we decided to stick to the published plan.\u00a0 Interestingly enough, at the 20 minute mark, aka after the 4th round (aka the round with 12 reps of each exercise), @Lambchop decided that he had better start the RO part of his RIRO a little early to get back over to Bagel Station.\u00a0 His uncle, the site Q and YHC bravely ascended on.\u00a0 We hit the top of the pyramid (aka finished the round with 21 reps of each exercise) at almost exactly the 45-minute mark so there was no opportunity for descension.<\/p>\n

@Zephyr was particularly fond of how fast the time flew by during the 6th round (aka the round with 18 reps of each exercise).<\/p>\n

@Mutton won the sweaty shirt contest but it was close<\/p>\n
