A gang of 5 gathered at Hanes Park on a very sultry morning.\u00a0 It had been a long time since I had Q’d any PAX at Hanes Park since Impossible Situation went on hiatus.\u00a0 It was great to be back and I looked forward to leading these men on a tour of the boundaries of the Park.<\/p>\n
We dispensed with the usual warm-a-rama and left the Park promptly at 5:30 with a slow mosey around the YMCA.\u00a0 Once I felt we were sufficiently warm, we stopped at the corner of Glade at West End for a some brief stretching.<\/p>\n
Once we had caught our breath, I explained the Thang.\u00a0 We would make brief stops at different areas surrounding the park.\u00a0 With each stop, we would add another exercise.<\/p>\n
1st stop – corner of Glade and Hawthorne – Side Straddle Hop X 25<\/p>\n
2nd stop – Corner of NW Blvd and Hawthorne – SSH add 25 Merkins<\/p>\n
3rd stop – In front of the press box at RJR HS – SSH, Merkins, Squats X 30<\/p>\n
Lunge walk across the bus lot<\/p>\n
4th Stop – benches on the corner of NW Blvd and Reynolda – SSH, Merkins, Squats, Dips X 30<\/p>\n
Lunge walk back to sidewalk<\/p>\n
5th Stop – Base of Pilot View on West End Blvd – SSH, Merkins, Squats, Dips, LBCs X 30<\/p>\n
Lunge walk to the next block – SSH, Merkins, Squats, Dips, LBCs, Imperial Walkers X 15 each side<\/p>\n
Backward Run up Brookstown to Carolina Ave – Drop SSH and Merkins – perform the rest<\/p>\n
Mosey back to the tennis parking lot.<\/p>\n
Great to have Glazer join us.\u00a0 First non running beatdown for him in over a year.<\/p>\n
We kept it moving and got our heart rates up, but still some good mumble chatter.<\/p>\n
No announcements or prayer concerns.<\/p>\n
