{"id":26787,"date":"2026-05-06T08:32:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T12:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=26787"},"modified":"2026-05-06T08:32:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T12:32:00","slug":"highlife-corona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2026\/05\/highlife-corona\/","title":{"rendered":"HighLife &gt; Corona"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>YHC took up the call to Q the premiere evening workout that happens on a Tuesday aka #HighLife<\/p>\n<p>What better way to celebrate Cinco De Mayo than working out &#8211; I mean margaritas and tacos are fun, but sweating and running around a park is much more my speed.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what we did:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Warmarama:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Motivators x8 IC.\u00a0 (Full SSH for 8x, Half SSH for 8x, Legs Only SSH for 8x, Hops for 8x and then repeato knocking one rep off each round (so 2nd round = 7x, 3rd round = 6x, etc)<\/p>\n<p>Abe Vigoda x 4 IC<\/p>\n<p>Whirlies x 10 IC<\/p>\n<p>Arm Swirlies x 5 F\/R<\/p>\n<p>Mosey to the top field at Miller Park.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>The Thang 1: Merkins\/Squats\/WW2s Blocks<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Using the track of Miller of the field which is basically a rectangle.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pax run 1 length.\u00a0 5 Merkins, 5 Squats, 5 WW2s OYO.<\/li>\n<li>Pax run 2 lengths. 5 Merkins, 5 Squats, 5 WW2s OYO.<\/li>\n<li>Pax run 3 lengths. 5 Merkins, 5 Squats, 5 WW2s OYO.<\/li>\n<li>Pax run 4 lengths. 5 Merkins, 5 Squats, 5 WW2s OYO<\/li>\n<li>Pax run 2 lengths. 5 Merkins, 5 Squats, 5 WW2s OYO<\/li>\n<li>Pax run 3 lengths. 5 Merkins, 5 Squats, 5 WW2s OYO<\/li>\n<li>Pax run 1 length. 5 Merkins, 5 Squats, 5 WW2s OYO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mosey to Moore Elementary:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>The Thang 2: Jailbreak<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>5 burpees jailbreak mosey to other side of playground. 5 burpees. Rinse and repeat <del>x 5\u00a0<\/del>x2.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>The Thang 3: 5s<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>5s: 4 reps of an exercise &#8211; 1 rep of an exercise. 3 reps &#8211; 2 reps so on and so forth until 1 rep &#8211; 4 reps.<\/p>\n<p>R1: Pull Ups x Dips<\/p>\n<p>R2: Derkins x Crunchy Frogs<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>The Thang 4: Ring of Fire<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>PAX were instructed to SSH while 1 pax drops and does 5 of exercise. After everyone completes the 5 reps go down to 4. All the way down to 1.<\/p>\n<p>SSH x WW2s<\/p>\n<p>SSH x Burpees<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Mary:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Various exercises all in 5 IC<\/p>\n<p>YHC had to dig deep to fill in a full 4 minutes worth of core exercises while only doing 5 reps in cadence.<\/p>\n<p>TIME!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>NMM:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Great to return to #HighLife after a busy spring afternoon schedule &#8211; @Hotdish and @Brownbag are some strong dudes keeping this #AO running<\/p>\n<p>@Hotdish can&#8217;t wait to be an empty nester so he can stop watching his 2.0 run track over the weekends<\/p>\n<p>@Brownbag celebrated his 30th birthday with his 10th straight visit to the notorious Putters with his M this past week. Crazy that 1\/3 of your birthdays have been spent eating the best steak in Winston.<\/p>\n<p>Overall MC was high &#8211; lots of talk about White dudes loving Taco Tuesday and Cinco De Mayo falling on Tuesday.
