{"id":25976,"date":"2025-11-12T17:55:32","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T21:55:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=25976"},"modified":"2025-11-12T18:15:48","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T22:15:48","slug":"dora-123-on-pilot-view","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2025\/11\/dora-123-on-pilot-view\/","title":{"rendered":"Dora 123 on Pilot View"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After an \u201ceasy\u201d EC run with Schlitz that took us up an unending Buena Vista, we returned to the parking lot to find Tax Break and Blind Date waiting for the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> of 3 Qs for YHC this week.\u00a0 Surprisingly, Zesty, an HC, was not <em>yet <\/em>present.\u00a0 Unsurprisingly, the other HC, Spicoli, also was not <em>yet<\/em> present.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Warmarama <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Leg stretches per Schlitzy\u2019s request, SSHs, Abe Vigodas, Whirlies, Up\/Down Dawgs, Cherry Pies<\/p>\n<p>Zesty arrived just as we were about to head to the playground.\u00a0 So, we did some more stretching.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>The Thang:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mosey to picnic benches adjacent to playground:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Table Hops x 30<\/li>\n<li>Wall Jumps x 10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fully warm now, we moseyed up the steps and took a left on West End.\u00a0 We stopped at the bottom of Pilot View.\u00a0 Pax were informed that we would be doing Dora 1-2-3 in increments up Pilot View.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First increment: West End to Carolina.\u00a0 Partner A performs merkins, Partner(s) B (&amp; C) run up to Carolina and back.\u00a0 Flip flop and repeato until the grouping completes merkins x 100.\n<ul>\n<li>Spicoli came barreling down West End towards us just as both groups were finishing up the merkins. So, now 3 groups of 2 &amp; all HCs fulfilled, we moseyed up the hill together to Jersey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Second increment: Carolina to Jersey.\u00a0 Partner A performs squats, Partner B runs up to Jersey and back.\u00a0 Flip flop and repeato until the grouping completes squats x 200.\u00a0 Upon all groups\u2019 completion, we moseyed together up to Jersey for the third leg of LBCs x 300.<\/li>\n<li>Which we split into two sections. For the first 150 LBCs, partner A would exercise, partner B would run up to the church drive on the left.\u00a0 Flip flop.\u00a0 Upon completion of 150 reps, we then moseyed together up to the parking lot on the right and finished out the LBCs.\u00a0 Partner A exercised, partner B ran up to Summit.\u00a0 Flip flop.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We then crossed the street to the post office, did some derkins x 20 and one-legged wall sits with Jack Reachers.\u00a0 Schlitz said something about having only 3 minutes left which triggered panic in YHC.\u00a0 We began sprinting home, but YHC had the forethought to fact check Schlitz.\u00a0 Unsurprisingly, there were 13 minutes left.\u00a0 So we pulled into YHC\u2019s favorite parking lot between Pilot View and 5<sup>th<\/sup> Street and did burpees x 10 with a 4-count of lateral hops preceding each burpee.\u00a0 Satisfied, YHC led the boys home where we still had time for 3 minutes of Mary.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Flight Attendants x 10<\/li>\n<li>Cobra Crunches x 10<\/li>\n<li>Glute Bridges x 5 (Slow)<\/li>\n<li>Glute Bridges x 15 (Fast)<\/li>\n<li>Pickle Pounders x 10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Announcements:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Backyard Ultra at the Speakeasy will be November 23<sup>rd<\/sup>! We need 6 pax.<\/li>\n<li>YHC has the Q at Urban Assault Friday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Prayer Requests:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rollback and M just returned from her shoulder treatment in Minnesota.<\/li>\n<li>Burns\u2019s MiL with leukemia.<\/li>\n<li>Local food banks are empty. Be a HIM and throw a couple of cans of food in your cart &amp; stop at one of the local pantries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>NMM:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ragnar seems a long time ago now. Going up hills like Buena Vista was once all in days play.\u00a0 Now it\u2019s a kick in the [insert Schlitz word here].<\/li>\n<li>Spicoli missed the ~50 merkins at the bottom of PV but then completed all 100 by himself at the top of PV. YHC threw the 20 derkins against the post office wall in for bonus points.<\/li>\n<li>Spicoli and Schlitz were getting into some Lingua Franca shenanigans about bagels and hot yoga and Queen\u2019s FBGs. It took a text message exchange with Schlitz to understand what was going on.\u00a0 YHC deleted the text message after it made me blush.<\/li>\n<li>Everyone was disappointed when we ended the slow glute bridges at 5 reps. Everyone was excited that we then did 15 fast followed by pickle pounders.<\/li>\n<li>Blind Date seems to have made a full recovery. He uttered some nonsense about running being the last thing to come back after some time on the DL, but he had no trouble on PV this morning.\u00a0 Glad to see him.<\/li>\n<li>Tax Break ran up Pilot View faster than I can run down a hill. Schlitz tried to get him to break character, but TB held it all in check.\u00a0 He might be the Terminator.<\/li>\n<li>Zesty started shivering and making the sign of the cross on his chest when we got to Pilot View. Running backwards up it a couple of weeks ago seemed to have left an imprint.\u00a0 Like Blind Date, though, the actual work did not seem to slow him down at all.<\/li>\n<li>Solid crew this morning that didn\u2019t bat more than 3 eyes at Pilot View.
