Doesn’t get much better than low 70s temp, an evening workout, and a working speaker.<\/p>\n
Last week, the faithful siteQ, @Hotdish, led us in a great beatdown… It was well-executed, perfectly laid out. The only thing lacking was a speaker that actually played the tunes of his choosing. @Hotdish tried multiple times, spending about 15 minutes trying to pair his speaker with his phone, essentially just telling us what to do while he figured out technology.<\/p>\n
YHC, being the spawn of @Starfish, is well-versed in the importance of tunes and the necessity of using said tunes with a loudspeaker. So, YHC rehearsed, put in a little effort on the front end, to ensure our night went smoothly with no hiccups.<\/p>\n
We were graced with an FNG named Bobby. Bobby and YHC have been texting back and forth for a few months after getting connected through a F3GSO connection. Finally got the HC from Bobby (and then some dirt from our mutual) and got going on a plan.<\/p>\n

Mosey across the street to Moore Elementary and keep going to the bus lot.\u00a0 This bus lot has a great flat parking lot that is definitely better than any of the other parking lots we ran through on our way to this lot. @Spicoli affirmed this belief. The real reason is we have never ventured to this area for the AO, so I wanted to see what it was all about. It’s a great parking lot. Trust me.<\/p>\n At this great parking lot, there was already a cardboard weinke and cones laid out! How about that!<\/p>\n YHC laid out the plan, got the tunes going, and unleashed the #HIMs to do their thang.<\/p>\n The Thang:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Starting Line: 5 HR Merkins<\/p>\n Mosey back to Center Cone: 2 HR Merkins<\/p>\n Mosey back to starting line<\/p>\n Mosey to far cone: 5 HR Merkins<\/p>\n Return to starting line for Round 1 of routine detailed on weinke. Repeat Line Drill, move to Round 2.<\/p>\n Rounds:<\/p>\n We did this for about 38 minutes before having to make our way home. Most guys got through at least 8 rounds, while @Zephyr and @Spicoli wrapped up round 10 at the buzzer.\u00a0 Mosey back to start for some Mary!<\/p>\n Mary:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Low Flutters<\/p>\n Mutton Crunches<\/p>\n Juanitas<\/p>\n TIME!<\/p>\n NMM:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n YHC sent a text to @Spicoli EH’ing him. @Spicoli HC’d. YHC thus sends a text with exact location in case he ran on #SpicoliTime. Luckily, he drove in just as Warmarama was wrapping up.<\/p>\n #Kotters to @InspectorGadget who YHC has not seen in a minute. He promptly starts the MC with YHC “So, what’s been new in your life for the last 6 months?” Brought a smile to my face seeing you back out. Thanks for sticking back with me and keeping me occupied. #Beast<\/p>\n Speaking of #Beasts – have y’all worked out with @Zephyr yet? Man, he just does not stop. He wiped the floor with us AFTER posting at #Redline in the AM. Strong work my man – we are better because of you.<\/p>\n @Rose broke his AM workout virginity on Tuesday as well, attending #Redline with @Zephyr. He breezed through that workout, then proceeded to breeze through #HighLife. Watch out for this dude – he’s a beast!<\/p>\n Our resident, Doctor, who is always off call when it comes to workouts, @Brownbag was out front setting the pace for all. He digged the jams and was expecting a theme to the workout. No theme this time! See my old man for those types of workouts!<\/p>\n @Hotdish got in his work and a few chirps about not being able to hear the music when he was at the far end of the parking lot. The #SiteQ just doesn’t quit until the beatdown is done. #Strong<\/p>\n Let’s talk about our FNG, Bobby. My dude shows up in a tank, flexing those muscles, and set out at a high pace. He pushed through, and by the end of it was loving every minute. Bobby is named Robert Cavanaugh Young. He is a UNCG professor of Music. He has 2 kids, 1 wife and lives in Ardmore. He also happens to be a highly talented Saxophone player. Plenty of baggage to work with… Bassoon gained some traction, Dr. Saxy, Dr. Smooth, but @Spicoli was ruminating all evening. “Hey, do y’all remember the saxophinist on the Muppets?” erg no, “well his name was Zoot” so thus we landed on Zoot.
