{"id":25409,"date":"2025-07-09T13:51:38","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T17:51:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/?p=25409"},"modified":"2025-07-09T13:51:38","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T17:51:38","slug":"juan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.f3winstonsalem.com\/f3\/2025\/07\/juan\/","title":{"rendered":"Juan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Schlitz and YHC got in our customary 0500 EC run this morning having been abandoned by Palin via text at 0424.\u00a0 Without Palin anchoring him down, Schlitz crushed both Runnymede and Summit.\u00a0 We returned to launch thinking it might only be the two of us.\u00a0 Palin, completely unexpectedly, showed up just as we were getting started with warmarama.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Warmarama:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SSHs, Abe Vigodas, Cherry Pies (thought about skipping these, but just for kicks and in the hope that Spicoli would show up)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>The Thang:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mosey past the fancy, dancy new football field that Yukon Cornelius will be paying for in taxes in 30 years, through the tunnel, and up to Reynolds Auditorium. We paused along the way for some calf raises (stretches).\u00a0 At the steps facing downtown, the duo was informed that we were here to do a partnered Dora 123.\u00a0 Two partners run around Reynolds Auditorium, one partner accumulates reps.\u00a0 One of the two runners flips with the rep partner, the other runner completes a second lap.\u00a0 Easy peasy.\n<ul>\n<li>Merkins x 100<\/li>\n<li>Squats x 200<\/li>\n<li>LBCs x 300<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Upon completion, Palin wanted to watch the sunrise, so we each took our position in one of the parking spaces and performed SSHs x 20 (IC).<\/li>\n<li>We then moseyed back through the tunnel, past the football stadium, and under the track shelter for some dips and step-ups.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, we moseyed home for 3 minutes of Mary.\n<ul>\n<li>Palin: 10-count slow merkins x 3<\/li>\n<li>Schlitz: Low Flutters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Finished.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Announcements:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We need four pax for the 7\/21 Samaritan Ministries service night.<\/li>\n<li>Schlitz conquered Summit!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Prayer Requests:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lamb Chop\u2019s M as they near the arrival of their baby.<\/li>\n<li>Van Gogh\u2019s M\u2019s mother and family.<\/li>\n<li>Schlitz\u2019s medical procedure, which turned out fine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>YHC prayed us out.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>NMM:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Schlitz shared about his upcoming (now mostly completed) interesting day. A medical procedure for his \u201cswimmers\u201d in the morning, followed by three hours of work (\u201cWednesdays are the best and everyone already bought all the beer they need last week\u201d), followed by an anticipated 5-hour tattoo appointment.\u00a0 Needless to say, there was much guffawing this morning.<\/li>\n<li>Palin attempted to delay each and every instruction YHC tried to give this morning. No surprise.\u00a0 Particularly galling was his confusion at what a Dora was.\u00a0 For whatever reason, Palin, during Mary, said, \u201cYou know what sounds like [the number] one?\u00a0 Juan!\u00a0 What if we all just said \u2018Juan\u2019 for one?!\u201d\u00a0 SMH.<\/li>\n<li>YHC kept his promise on avoiding the hills today. Thus, we got in ~2.5 mostly flat miles.<\/li>\n<li>We delayed our departure from launch awaiting Spicoli. Schlitz:\u00a0 \u201cDid he say he was coming?\u201d\u00a0 YHC:\u00a0 \u201cNo, but he\u2019s still in his expected arrival window.\u201d\u00a0 Schlitz:\u00a0 \u201cHe\u2019ll be able to find us.\u201d\u00a0 YHC:\u00a0 \u201cI doubt it.\u201d\u00a0 Later, Schlitz:\u00a0 \u201cYou were right; Spicoli would never have found us.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Thanks, F&amp;B, for the keys.
