Well\u2026it was that time again.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s get after it at Distillery!<\/p>\n

Frostbite shot me a message and asked if I could Substi-Q as he was still on the recovery road.<\/p>\n

I was going to have to come up with something quick.<\/p>\n

Think Adobe, think\u2026<\/p>\n

Ahhhh, I think I\u2019ve got just the thing. Just keep it simple.<\/u><\/p>\n

So that\u2019s just what we did.
\nSimple on paper anyway\u2026 Let us begin.<\/p>\n

With the passing of two music legends, Sylvester Stewart ( A.K.A. Sly Stone, from Sly and the Family Stone ) and Brian Wilson ( musical genius and one of the founding members of The Beach Boys ), I absolutely had the playlist down. Check\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

The THANG:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We went over to grab some blocks and PAX were instructed to leave the blocks at the starting line while we took 2 Warm up laps around the parking lot.
\nYou know how much I love running \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When we got back, the Q gave the marching orders.<\/p>\n

Again, wanted to keep it \u201csimple\u201d and make sure everyone had \u201cfun\u201d this morning.<\/p>\n

( Side note: Distillery has a LOT of parking spaces ! Keep that in mind.<\/em> )<\/p>\n

At EVERY parking lot line, PAX were to do a ladder of sorts, but a ladder that only goes up.<\/p>\n

At Parking line 1, the PAX does 1 Dead Lift , then carry block to the next line. Then, do 2 KB Swings. Walk to the next line. Then do 3 Dead Lifts. Then 4 KB Swings\u2026.etc.. Pattern clear?<\/p>\n

All in all, I think there are about 20-ish lines all the way to the other end. OUCH.<\/p>\n

Just as we were passing the speaker booming some awesome tunes strategically placed in the middle of the parking lot, the PAX were probably thinking, \u201cMan\u2026I wish we could turn around.\u201d We pressed on.<\/p>\n

We finally arrived at the end of the parking lot. Some arrived faster than others! Rustbucket and Blind Date cruised right through this. And then, being the true #HIM\u2019s they are, they came back to pick up the 6. #BEASTMODE<\/p>\n

After briefly composing ourselves, the Q reminded the younger PAX in the crowd that, just like any great record ( google it ) there is an A-Side and a B-Side. Time to go back.<\/p>\n

This time, at EVERY parking lot line, we would complete the following:<\/p>\n

1 Squat w. block, 2 Lunge w. twist ( L + R = 2. ), 3 Squat w. block, 4 Lunge w. twist,,,,etc.. All the way to the other end of the parking lot.<\/p>\n

Holy back pain Batman. I\u2019m still feeling this routine the day after while writing this BackBlast.<\/p>\n

Super suck fest.<\/p>\n

And for good measure, after we finished, two more laps around the parking lot.<\/p>\n

While the tunes were amazing ( in my opinion ) this morning, there sure was a LOT of groaning\u2026especially from the Q ! LOL.<\/p>\n

Holy crap was that one tough.<\/p>\n

All you guys showed up this morning and really pushed hard. Thank you!<\/p>\n

There wasn\u2019t a dry eye in the crowd once we were done. Time to start packing extra clothing in the car for post beatdown wardrobe changes.<\/p>\n
